I made a booking on the wotif site and paid in full for a non refundable room., the property would have received notification of my booking and payment.
At 8pm on the day of check-in, out of courtesy I rang the property to let them know, I am in Tokoroa and on my way over. The owner said, "Sorry but I have closed my business down and you can't stay here"
So that was pretty bad that they had a live listing, selling rooms, taking money but not in business. When it would have been so easy to phone Wotif and remove your business. Instead you left us stranded, with no where to sleep, and 1 and a half hours on the phone with wotif trying to find us a room, which ended up being in the next township. No compassion shown by the host at all.
