Comfort and peace

We enjoyed our stay at this nice, spacious and lovely house. Everything you need, is there. The view is amazing and it's so nice and quiet. It's a good starting Point for walks and excursions.

Surpassed expectations

This was an amazing place to stay we could not have wished for more. Gorgeous place, all amenities, very clean brilliantly laid out and a new breathtaking view every morning. Stunning does not begin to describe the views! Local walks are in fabulous forest lots of different tracks and routes to walk/cycle. Minor issues sorted out with excellent communication from Clive.Neighbours who help look after the property, they even put our rubbish out for collection..Will definitely be returning.

Amazing stay in beautiful surroundings

This was our 3rd stay in this beautiful house. Perfect place for hiking, skiing and enjoying this beautiful surroundings. The house has everything you need, excellent communication with the owner. You can enjoy beautiful views from the balcony, excellent restaurant and shops in close proximity. Can highly recommend. Thanks again for letting us stay here.

Perfect winter holiday

This was our second stay in this beautiful house. It is perfect if you like beautiful scenery, short drive to Rogla ski resort, quiet, absolutely beautiful. Excellent restaurant near by and several supermarkets. The weather was amazing and plenty of snow. We enjoyed skiing in Rogla and would highly recommend it. Excellent communication with the owner, very helpful. Hoping to come back next year. Thank you

Peaceful, idyllic retreat

We enjoyed a peaceful week in this fantastic retreat. The house is just beautiful, unique, and charming. Spacious, comfortable, well-equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed quiet mornings, meals, and views on the outside dining patio. The surrounding rolling hills provide ample opportunity for mountain biking, running, walking. Ptuj, the oldest town in Slovenia, is very pretty and worth a visit. Since we were there during the summer heat, we would sightsee during the morning and cool off in a Terme park during the afternoon. Ptuj’s waterpark is new, very nice, but crowded - to be expected. We enjoyed the Terme Zrece swimming complex, as well; its’ a short drive from the house. We also visited the Museum of Evolution in Krapina, Croatia, at the site where a significant discovery of Neanderthal man was found. The town does not offer much, but the museum is impressive, very well done. We thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic Pekel (Hell’s) Cave, 5km north of nearby Sempeter. These cool caverns were an inviting respite from the August heat and surprisingly uncrowded. The tour guide was fantastic. The Roman Necropolis in Sempeter was an interesting site, as the guide gave us an energetic, entertaining and informative tour. So, we really learned about the mythological inspired motifs. We highly recommend this wonderful vacation home and thank Clive and Ruth for sharing it. Karen, Brian & family.

First Time Slovenia

We had a wonderful time in the house. Beautiful view of the valley while eating breakfast on the balcony. The house was in tip top condition. Since we were traveling shortly after the flooding I was grateful that the owner was reachable and able to answer questions about the situation in Slovenia. I can highly recommend Clive's house. Netter Urlaub

Wie schon von vielen geschrieben, es liegt an einem Berg. Der Weg dorthin ist sehr kurvenreich. Schön gelegen. Kuhglocken und Hahnkrähen sollten einen nicht stören. Das Grundstück ist leider nicht umzäunt. Das Haus und dessen Einrichtung ist schon in die Jahre gekommen und man sollte in ein Badfenster unbedingt investieren.

A lovely house in a tranquil and beautiful location

Eastern Slovenia doesn't have the hustle of Western Slovenia in August and for that reason you can have a great holiday here. The mountains are different, high rolling pastures backed by miles and miles of forest makes ideal hiking and biking country. Road bikes, gravel bikes or mountain bikes will be at home here...just be aware if you are on a road bike that some of the higher roads are not paved...gravel!! The scenery is spectacular, the people are very friendly and the food is excellent. The house was large and comfortable....the only downside (for 5 of us) was one bathroom...but that is the only negative and you know before you come. Other than that I would recommend anyone who loves the mountains or beautiful scenery to come and spend a week or more here!

Schöner Wanderurlaub

Soweit recht schön, allerdings ist das Objekt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt gegen Abend wirklich viele Ameisen unter dem Mittelblock in der Küche, danach sollte mal jemand schauen. Aber alles recht sauber und vor allem ruhig. 😉😉

Tolles Haus für entspannte Ferien

Schöne, ruhige Hanglage mit tollem Blick ins Tal und auf die Berge. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermärkte) wenige Kilometer entfernt in Zrece fanden wir ausgezeichnet ebenso das Restaurant in Gorenje (3km). Das Haus ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz auch für 4 Erwachsene (einzige Einschränkung: nur 1 Bad). In der Küche findet man alles, was man benötigt inklusive einiger Gewürze und einem guten Messerblock. Der Vermieter war super freundlich und stets erreichbar. Wir haben den Aufenthalt trotz eher schlechtem Wetter sehr genossen! Gerne wieder!

Wenn man Ruhe sucht perfekt

Tolle Lage in der Natur. Wir waren mit Familie und unserem Hund und wollten die 4 Tage einfach nur entspannen. Dazu ist dieses Apartment genial. Alles da, sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Tolle Lage in wirklich schöner Umgebung. Wenn man die urbane Nähe braucht, ist es etwas ab vom Schuss. Uns hat es sehr gefallen hier.

Lovely house in a lovely region

We really enjoyed our stay and managed to ski every day at nearby Rogla which is a great resort for beginners and rusty intermediates. The house was perfect.It was clean and warm with plenty of space. And the views were wonderful. Clive was very helpful and responded quickly to messages. I would definitely recommend his place and Slovenia as a whole.

schöner ruhiger Urlaub

Das haus ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen und bietet einen umwerfenden Ausblick. Perfekt für einen erholsamen und stressfreien Urlaub. Für Leute die am Abend noch mal die Sau raus lassen wollen, ist es wohl ehr nichts. Denn in der näheren Umgebung gibt es dafür keine Möglichkeit. Das haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, dass man braucht. Wer im Winter dort hin will, sollte Schneeketten nicht vergessen!!! Die Straße zum Haus ist steil (Serpentinen) und wird nicht ständig geräumt. Das Skigebiet Rogla (15 Autominuten entfernt) ist mit seinen 12 Kilometern Piste nicht groß, aber für 1 bis 2 Tage völlig ausreichend. Alles in allem, war es ein schöner Urlaub und wir werden bestimmt noch mal hin fahren.

Simply great and highly recommended

The beautiful house is like described, clean and cozy in an idyllic environment in the slovenian mountains. Clive and Ruth are wonderful hosts and always answer very friendly and also quickly. We would highly recommend to stay at this excellent place in the woods.
