What you can expect

WHAT TO EXPECT

Check out the countryside around Hoi An and take to the water in an unique Vietnamese basket boat on a tour that shows off the charming lands around the city. Coming to Cam Thanh village, you will have a chance to admire the rice paddies along the Thu Bon River, learn some traditional fishing techniques, take a ride on a water buffalo, and get a real sense of what the local life is like.

ITINERARY

OPTION 1: BUFFALO RIDE, BASKET BOAT AND COOKING CLASS HALF-DAY TOUR

8:00/14:00: You will be picked up from your hotel in Hoi An Town and transfer to the local village by bicycle/Van/taxi depending on the group size. If you can’t ride bike, please notify us when you make a booking

9:30/14:30: Experience buffalo riding with the guidance of local farmers, then, you will visit local handicraft makers

You have a chance to paddle bamboo basket boat through water coconut forest, take time for sightseeing and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Next, you will watch a basket boat performance, go crab fishing and witness boat racing.

We then come to cooking class location and learn to make and taste 4 dishes: Beef Noodle Soup, Deep-fried spring roll, Hoi An Pancake ( Banh Xeo) with pork and prawns, Fresh spring roll without the rice paper.

13:30/19:00: Back to your hotel by bike/ van/ taxi. Tour ends.

OPTION 2: COUNTRYSIDE BIKE TOUR, BASKET BOAT AND COOKING CLASS

8:00/ 14:00: You will be picked up from your hotel located in central Hoi An with bicycle - If you can't ride bicycle, please let us know in advance (Extra charge 200,000 vnd/person for car). Next, the guide will take you around the Tra Que herb garden and discover the real life of local farmers. You have chance to learn how to rake the ground, sow, water and pick herbs.

On your cycling way you can see paddy fields, water buffalos, and see farmers working hard on their farms. We then move to Hoi An local market. Our tour guide will introduce to you the necessary ingredients for cooking classes.

Once we get all the necessary ingredients, we drive to Bay Mau Coconut Village, where you and have great experience to paddle through the water coconut forest on bamboo basket boats. Further more, you can fish crabs by your own. After all, we come to our class to learn how to cook 4 dishes: Beef Noodle Soup, Deep fried spring roll, Hoi An Pancake (Banh Xeo) with pork and prawns, Fresh spring roll without rice paper

13:00/ 19:00 Back to your hotel. Tour ends.
