Nice property but problems contacting Vrbo
The apartment itself is as shown, nice standard, good beds but cutlery and crockery is limited (missing cutlery and very cheap/broken utensils) which won't affect those not eating in.
Two major problems:
1. it was advertised with parking - a reason why I chose it. I was advised 7 mins before arriving that the parking wasn't available, and worse still no alternative arrangements made or advice provided.
2. On arrival, I couldn't find the host. I tried ringing Vrbo's contact number and reached an out of office receptionist. As nice as she was she couldn't get through to anyone and despite asking them to ring me no-one called. I rang the contact number 15 times in the following hour - got through 3 times but again not to Vrbo but to a receptionist. Eventually an hour later I was called by Vrbo asking whether I was still taking the booking as the host was waiting! Having explained that I has been waiting for over an hour, she shared my contact details with the host. He was helpful and advised on parking arrangements.
This is my first time using Vrbo - not impressed and their service seems to reflect previous reviews. Waiting now to see how the handle my complaint and request for refund of NCP parking and compensation.
