The warmth of pine walls and plush carpet in the main living area make this a perfect place for peace and quiet after the hustle bustle of Christmas.

Was great choice , everything was perfect , beauty of nature around , the breeze
house is very clean , internet assent great , but the view of the river was best part about it , will deferentially reserve it again for my family , communication with the owner was very good and quick to answer.

It was exactly as described by the owner. Neat and clean. Check in process was easy. Since the deck was right by the McKenzie River it was nice. And the screened in back porch was a great place to eat, enjoy the cool breeze off the river and the sound of the water.
We greatly enjoyed our stay there.

Fun, rustic fishing cabin right on a whitewater section of the beautiful McKenzie river. Terrific location for exploring the many hiking trails. Wish we could have stayed longer, it’s a magical place to leave your cares behind and relax.

As usual, Jonathan & Lisa, from whom I have rented several times in the past, hosted a very beautiful cabin. Located right alongside the McKenzie River, the cabin was well stocked (but needs wine glasses) and, unlike many places, was exceptionally well lighted in all areas (greatly appreciated). The master bedroom was as large as most motel rooms with a very comfortable bed. I am sure I will try to rent this cabin again in the future.

such a cozy home with amazing views our group of four had a lovely time and were able to cook and clean around the house easily! the river is way too dangerous to get in but there were many accessible places to swim nearby the only problem we had was little grilling tools and most of the lights were bright blue white lights and the coziness is sorta taken away with corporate lighting but the few lamps with soft lighting made the place so nice and cozy at night!! I would definitely come back to this place in the future!!

We booked the cabin at the last minute, and then needed to adjust the reservation by a day; the owner was very accommodating. The front bedroom seemed cold until we realized it has its' own heating unit. Everything was comfortable and clean. We intended to hike fire roads, but many were still snowed in- fortunately Terwilliger Hot springs was open. I would definitely consider booking this place again.

The cabin is excellent-extremely clean and comfortable. Beautiful woodwork and historic touches. Beds are very comfortable and linens are good quality. The hosts are very responsive and professional.
The location is great, close golf, hikes, to a couple restaurants and general store that has pretty much what you need. But honestly you won't want to leave the deck! There is a covered screened in porch so that you can enjoy the amazing river views even if its raining.
I would suggest throwing some basic spices in if you plan on cooking. The kitchen is very well appointed and the grill works great, but if you were to cook the spice cabinet is limited.

My family and I came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was perfect for the four of us!
The cabin was clean and cozy. As one review noted, this cabin in RUSTIC. It's not all shiny and modern like other properties, but you can tell it was built with and quality materials and detail. I always expect a musty odor with older homes, but this place smelled good. The kitchen and dining area is pretty small, so the limit of 4 people is right on target.
Our favorite things about this property are:
-The screened in porch. I spent most of my time snuggled up in a warm blanket watching the river flow by. The lounger is really comfortable.
-The view!
-Privacy. There are neighbors on both sides and across the river, but you are somewhat hidden in the trees so it felt very private, especially in the screen porch. It's also set back from the road which is nice.
-The bedding is amazing!
-The livingroom furniture is comfy. We spent a lot of time playing games on the large expandable coffee table.
-The fire pit! Who doesn't love a warm campfire?
-It's close to a little general store and gas station, handy for grabbing those forgotten items.
A couple drawbacks:
-If you want to cook, I would suggest bringing all the items you will need for what you are making. There are limited cooking utensils ( we needed a whisk), and no baking dishes. We brought some disposable containers so it worked out well. Also, the oven seems to run a little under temperature.
-There was no bodywash in the bathroom, and I forgot to bring any. We wound up using hand soap.
-The dishwasher is tiny! With a family of 4 eating 3 meals and some snacking, we ran the dishwasher 3 times on the full day we were there.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property for a couple or small family wanting a peaceful getaway!
