The Space:
This is a 3 bedroom & 2 bathroom house sited on over 2 acres of mature woods. There are a few friendly neighbors and the home is tucked away at the end of the driveway in a private setting with your own outdoor seating area & fire-pit behind the house.

Modern luxury meets timeless comfort in this designer mountain retreat in New York’s famed Catskill Mountains. Just outside the door are miles of hiking and skiing trails, while a short drive away, you’ll find Kaaterskill Falls, Colgate Lake, and Windham and Hunter mountains. For a day of shopping and dining, visit the nearby town of Hudson.

Living Spaces

When you enter the Cairo Cabin, you’ll find yourself in an open and airy living space, complete with a plush Chesterfield sofa and cozy armchair. You’ll enjoy high-tech, pulse-pounding movie nights here with the 4K UHD Smart TV, and Sonos sound bar. Or maybe you’ll choose an at-home dance party, taking advantage of the vinyl music station, complete with turntable!
Large windows throughout the great room space offer an abundance of natural light, casting a warm and welcoming glow.

Cooking & Dining

The fully-equipped kitchen with mood lighting makes preparing your favorite meals a simple task. The open concept layout ensures that the family or group chef is never left out of the festivities. The breakfast bar offers casual seating for 3. The sunny dining area boasts a table for 6 that looks over the 2-acre property.

Sleeping Accommodations and Bathrooms

The comfortable primary bedroom suite offers a queen bed and a dedicated work space with desk and chair. The en-suite master bath has an oversized walk-in shower.
The first guest room features a queen bed, with a closet and dresser. The second guest room boasts two twin beds and a big closet. These two bedrooms share the full hall bath, complete with walk-in shower.

Outdoor Amenities

The Cairo Cabin offers many outside areas for relaxation, and quiet contemplation. Be sure to take full advantage of the stone firepit, with a grouping of 6 Acapulco chairs. There’s also a grill and covered picnic table, perfect for al fresco coffee or dining. In addition, there’s another seating area further into the woods with Adirondack chairs. Enjoy your time outdoors as you savor our mountain views!

For our guests’ convenience, we provide a washer and dryer.

Guest Access:
Upon arrival, turn into the driveway marked with the wooden sign that reads 'eggs'. You'll be staying in the blue house with the yellow door located at the end of the driveway. There is plenty of parking in front of the home and a self check-in keypad entry.

The Neighborhood:
Cairo is a cute town just a 5 minute drive away. 15 -20 minutes away are the towns of Catskill & Hudson where you can find numerous shops, restaurants & activities.

Getting Around:
This home is located on Route 145 just after Route 23. Immediately after passing a stone building, make a right turn into the driveway labeled 212 (there is wooden 'eggs' sign). Make your way up the driveway to the last house on the right.

Other Things to Note:
Nature enthusiasts, animal lovers, and design fans alike will appreciate the many refined rustic elements, like our shelves made from local sugar maple trees.

5min drive into town where there’s a bakery, distillery, supermarket, and more. Even closer is the Cairo Nature Preserve (great picnic spot), while scenic 20-30min drives will get you to the famed Kaaterskill Falls for hiking, Colgate Lake for swimming, Windham and Hunter mountains for skiing, Hudson for shopping & eating, and endless picturesque adventures.

Interaction with Guests:
I give my guests space but am available when needed
