A lovely quiet hotel in the middle of the city, only 2 mins to Wynyard Station. The hotel is new and fresh with modern amenities and decor. Bed was very comfy. Felt like a cocoon with the timber framing above the bed. Can’t wait to go back.

I found the reception Staff a little bit pompous and didn’t So I’ll read you what I wrote I found the reception start to be a bit pompous and did not read give full instructions on how to utilise it the hotels facility including the fob key in the Lift . I understand how the system works but not everybody does. It will be far better for people to tell the customers how things work, given the Hotel The bed was extremely uncomfortable as it kept moving in apart and away from the wall during the night a gap between the beds appeared which was uncomfortable

It's convenient to most attractions. Staff where very helpful for our needs and question. The only thing we didn't like is the wheelchair accessible bathroom. Water was all over the floor when you shower. Fire alarm sensor was right outside our shower room. You need to pay close attention to the door. Not to set it off. Or we pay $1600. Not enough counter space. And for 4 nights we stayed the carpet and bathroom floors were not clean.

The location is fantastic. So close to everything in the city. The rooms great. Tram is 2 minutes walk. Staff are super helpful.

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-La - beautiful and well positioned, great facilities and staff were super helpful. Enjoyed a drink in the beautiful ‘Blu Bar’ overlooking the harbour. Totally recommend for anyone looking for a lovely location."
