I received a personal email asking about my arrival, plus a friendly greeting from the owner as opposed to basic chatter from someone behind a front desk. She was very knowledgeable about the area and gave me great advise about locations and transportation. The environment was clean and the breakfast was awesome with plenty of eggs, sausage, pastries and fruit to go around. The location was an appropriate distance from the center of town and close enough to restaurants. For late cravings, there are two restaurants just across the street for pizza or burgers. I was a little nervous when I saw my bed next to a fireplace, but relieved when I investigated and saw it was boarded up. No concerns of a boogie man coming down and bragging me.

We loved it here. The rooms were large, very clean and nicely modernized. The staff were VERY, very, very friendly. The location was in a great spot. We were a short walking distance from a comedy club and only a kilometre and a bit from the Royal Mile & castle. The wifi was fast, the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely come back.

Lovely location, good breakfast. Nice staff. On the expensive side (to be expected though as we came during fringe). Reserve a car parking space in advance. Well worth it.
