4/5 Good
"The place is ok.
Its away from the main center so there is not a lot to do walking distance. Would be good if you are looking for a scape and disconnect, however they receive a lot of families and groups that make the stay a bit noisy.

5/5 Excellent
Excellent stay. Loved the bed and pillows
"We stayed for 3 nights and loved this hotel. Reviews suggest it is run down and tired. This was not our experience at all. My only issues were pre arrival. It was not clear at all how to get to the hotel. Cable car? This hotel is actually in the mid hills and you do not need a cable car to get here. You can arrive by bus to the GPO (shops) near the hotel. Then you can either use hotel shuttle bus or use a Grab. The shuttle runs every hour. Leaves the hotel on the hour and from the GPO on the half hour (no service at 7.30pm). The bus is small and it is first come first served. No room for big luggage. Grab cost us 20RM with luggage so we were happy. Soem say you can walk from the GPO to the hotel but I would not recommend it. The traffic is horrendous and the hills are very steep. You get one free cable car ticket per room - not per person. There are shops and restaurants at the GPO but there are so many more at the top of the mountain but the cost is higher. The restaurants in the Awana hotel are good. The Awana Bio Park is not fully open yet as it is undergoing major renovation. Hopefully the Biopark will be fully operational by early 2025. It should be amazing when fully open. Meantime you can take a nature walk with Pat and/or Eddie for 20RM per person at 9am each day. Two hour walk. "
