Five stars with warnings
The house itself is great with everything you need to stay provided, filled with an eclectic and quirky collection of furniture and fittings, it was a very interesting place.
The view from the garden is fabulous regardless of the time of day. You will have nothing but the sounds of nature around you.
Sandro, the owner's communication and assistance was excellent and couldn't fault it.
Why the warnings. The 300 metre road up to it is very difficult and if you are not a confident driver you will have issues. Sandro describes it as a dirt road. A road implies a flat surface and this is rocky, bumpy and full of hollows and rises, and very narrow in places. You should not attempt it in a car that sits low to the road as you will damage the car. I was driving a standard road car and the floor was hitting the road in several places. We were a party of four, three with driving licenses, and i was the only one who was willing to drive the road up to the farmhouse.
If you can cope with the road then the end result is worthwhile. I would return again but take an SUV type vehicle next time. A really interesting place.
