Mahana Penthouse

12th floor, Ocean front amazingness! Although small (perfect for two), the condo has everything thing required for a short or long term stay. We watched hundreds of whales, turtles, dolphins cruise by from the balcony and enjoyed fantastic sunsets every night. Host went out of their way to communicate and help with the booking process.

A lot of fun

I really like how close to the water this condo is and you get to see whales and boats everyday from balcony. Great location walking distance to Dukes for dinner, breakfast and drinks. Had a lot of fun.

Maui favorite

We absolutely loved this property! From the amazing views to the location central to great snorkeling we were 100% thrilled and we will be back! We saw surfers, turtles, rays, and even a couple of sharks right from the lanai.

Amazing vacation spot

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location. This was our 8th visit to the Mahana and this was the nicest unit that we have rented. This beautiful condo has all of the amenities that you will need for a great vacation in an amazing location.

We have stayed at the Mahana several times. Love the closeness to the ocean The unit is on the 12th floor along with many other suites. View is stunning! Enjoyed the pool and property The suite is very clean and comfortable Loved it!!!!!

Quality all around

We’ve stayed at the Mahana many times and this was the nicest unit we’ve ever rented. It was furnished and stocked like it was meant for the owner. No problems. Good quality appliances, dishes, mattress, TVs, WiFi. The view on the top floor was exceptional especially when watching the turtles and sunsets. Host was very responsive and had lots of beach chairs and toys available.

The Mahana speaks for itself. I think that it is one of the best condo locations on Maui. This condo was lovely, every thing was clean and a great spot for our trip.

Great location and facility. We had a great stay.

The location and facility worked out great for us. The one bedroom worked out great for us as a couple. The sunsets were awesome. Beach and pool were good. The air conditioner had a tough time keeping up during the afternoon sun in July but cooled things down nicely once the sun set.

Great place to celebrate your anniversary!

We loved the views. We sat on the lani every morning for breakfast and enjoyed the sound of the waves breaking almost below our feet. Better views than some cruise ships. It is quiet. Kitchen is nice with everything we needed. We loved walking the boardwalk every day - 3 miles to the far end. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Great week. Highly recommend it.

Hard to leave.

One of the best vacation rentals ever! Unbelievable view, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable and luxurious feeling living room. Close to grocery store, farmers market and great coffee. We fell asleep listening to the waves every night. Our ten year old daughter loved the pool, we loved the beach access and seeing turtles and fish from the lanai. Sorry we didn’t book this place for our whole stay.

OUTSTANDING

I don’t know where to begin but I’ll start with the view perfect, amazing, breathtaking, wow! Large lanai with beautiful view, access to lanai from living room and bedroom, immaculate, kitchen has all the essentials, rainfall shower, beach essentials (ex: boogie boards, snorkel gear, cooler, etc.). I wish I could have stayed longer, the sunrise/sunset was beautiful and we were lucky enough to see whales several times throughout our stay. I have beautiful memories and will definitely return on our next trip.

25th Anniversary

Thank you Linda for another fantastic two weeks at the Best Condo in Hawaii. My husband & I had a fabulous time again & enjoy the super views from your balcony. We watched the resident turtle during the day and the commuter planes at night crossing the skies. Relaxing, shopping & eating...sun & fun, golfing & walking, adventuring by foot & car... the list continues. Many thanks again.

Very nice!!

Top floor. Superior unobstructed views. Whale watching right from your own lanai. The condo unit is exactly as shown. Very, very nice. Seriously, you see whales breaching all day, everyday. You are literally right next to the water. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you may need. I looked down to the beach from the lanai and saw three large turtles. Awesome. This condo made our trip. Relaxing and very quiet. Loved being on the top floor. Sliding glass doors open all day and enjoying the wonderful breeze. Just what we needed. Also, very easy walk to Duke's for tasty meals and drinks. We try to go to Maui once a year and I certainly will be staying here again in the future. We made a great choice. Mahalo.

Beautiful and very nicely decorated

One of the best and nicest places we have stayed at in the Mahana Condos and we have stayed in several. Suggestion: It would be nice to have some way to play iPhone music as everyone seems to have music on their phones. I ended up buying a blue tooth speaker for $65 which worked great but the electronics in the unit do not allow for any hook-up of phone music. Other units that I have stayed in at the Mahana have inexpensive phone players. Also, the instructions for the DVD players (and TV) are out of date and couldn't figure out how to use the DVD in the living room. I was able to watch Spectrum cable however. The instructions are for the Sony TV which has been moved into the bedroom.

Perfect in every way

We just returned from our week long stay on Maui in the Mahana #1204 room. This room was absolutely perfect for our 10 year wedding anniversary getaway. From the minute we walked in the door, we felt "at home" for our stay. This condo unit was so inviting and so well stocked with any/everything we could have needed for our stay. The view from the balcony was breathtakingly beautiful. We had breakfast/coffee every morning on the balcony and ended every night here as well just listening to the ocean. The kitchen had everything we could have imagined. I would have loved for there to be a Keurig over a traditional coffee machine as I have not made coffee in such a long time. The coffee just never tasted right, but that was me, not the condo ;). Should we ever make our way back to Maui, we would absolutely stay here again. This trip was everything we could have wanted it to be and more. This condo unit is all that and more!!!! Thank you SO much for everything. Mahalo~

Spectacular view, disappointed in lack of essentials

Gorgeous view and perfect location, would be 5 stars across board but disappointed in certain aspects, especially as compared to other units in which we’ve stayed in the Mahana at equivalent rates. Our stay was two weeks. Very frequent VRBO travelers. Found couch cushions and table chair upholstery in need of cleaning. Most disappointing was condo lacked certain items that are VRBO basics, in our experience. We felt a little “nickeled and dimed” having to buy these items for ourselves after asking property manager twice and receiving no response — e.g., no basic cleaning product to clean countertops and glass table after each instance of cooking/eating use; no brush, sponge, or other scrubbing pad was provided for kitchen sink, to clear stuck on food from dishes before putting in dishwasher or to clean items not appropriate for dishwasher; no salt, not even a plastic shaker, in cupboards. Also, kitchen utensils are comparatively sparse for cooking, for those who enjoy it when VRBO’ing — as an example, two micro-tiny cutting boards in kitchen, not even big enough to slice fruit or vegetables. Master bed had no bedspread, instead was covered only by two white top sheets with a thin blanket in between. On 12th day of our stay was a knock on the door, a plastic sack with what turned out to be a bed spread was handed to my wife; delivery person said it had been cleaned for the owner who would be staying in the unit soon but that we were “free” to use it if we wished. Just odd.

Amazing views, beautiful condo/5-star accommodations

Our first time to Maui for our 39th anniversary and this place exceeded our expectations. The perfect romantic getaway. Fully furnished with everything you will need for the week along with the most amazing views. Everything is top quality and so tastefully decorated. Our son recommended this condo to us and we were not disappointed. Our week in Maui was more than we dreamed of from snorkeling with the sea turtles, tropical fish and beautiful coral; sunrise at Haleakala; road to Hana; Old Lahaina Luau; lunch at Leoda's; capped off by dinner at Mama's Fish House for our anniversary. Our days were busy from dawn to dusk starting with coffee and breakfast on the lanai to gorgeous sunsets down on the beach or again from the beautiful lanai. It was so nice coming back each evening to a place we could relax and that felt "like home." We kept having to "pinch" ourselves to make sure we weren't dreaming; everything was beyond anything we dreamed of. We hope to return and will certainly be staying here again. My husband really wanted to snorkel and I was quite hesitant since I am not a swimmer and tend to get panicky in the water, but he did not want to go without me. I am also older and overweight and just felt intimidated by the "big boat" tours. After much research I found Maui Snorkel Tours run by Suzzy Robinson. She keeps her groups very small (6 in our group) and it is like getting one-on-one instruction. She puts all your fears and anxieties to rest and makes sure you are extremely comfortable. She stayed close and by our sides the entire time and also told us everything we were seeing. I ended up having such a great time that my husband and I even snorkeled two more times on our own because we felt so comfortable in the water after our instruction with Suzzy. If you have never snorkeled before and have and any anxiety about trying it, I would highly recommend Suzzy. You will be glad you did.

Great Vacation at Great Condo

This is our 3rd time staying in the same condo (5th time at the Mahana and 7th time on Maui). We always rent this specific unit (once we found it) for several reasons: 1. It is on the top floor away from the noise. Very quiet with only the breeze and the ocean waves to listen to. 2. The owners always keep the unit up to date. It has in-room highest speed wi-fi, 2 flat screen televisions (one with a nice sound bar) with cable, all of the appliances you need - blender, coffee maker, mixer, toaster, etc, beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, etc. 3. The unit is conveniently located to all of the stores we needed - Times Supermarket (though a little pricey on some items), ABC store with gas station, several little restaurants. 4. By having a fully equipped kitchen, we made breakfast every day so we could enjoy it on the lanai with full view of the ocean plus the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Plus we saved a ton of money by doing this. 5. Good security - sturdy locks on both sliding glass doors plus a deadbolt lock on the front door. 6. Close to Lahaina - convenient to Whaler's Village, Lahaina Cannery Mall, Outlets of Maui, Lahaina Town, US Post Office for mailing packages back home. 7. Close to the nicest beaches you will ever see on Maui - between the Mahana and the Shearton at Black Rock. 8. Nice paved ocean walkway that has a Duke's Beach House for evening cocktails or dinner. 9. Recommended activities besides the usual (beach and water activities - snorkeling, etc.): * Zip line on the side of the mountain - book a 7:00 a.m. Zip line tour with Flyin' Hawaiin Zip Lines. * Catch a luau at the Old Lahaina Luau - best food and view of the sunset. * Watch the sun rise on top of Haleakala - book a tour so you don't have to drive up there in the middle of the night. * Watch the sun set from the top of Haleakala - drive yourself since you can make it down the mountain when you want. * Go the Swap Meet at the Maui Community College on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - great souvenirs cheap, plus unique Hawaiian Fare such as shaved ice, Hawaiian baked goods - Lilikoi bread, pineapple mac-nut bread, music by Nadama - buy a CD and the have Nadama sign it for you, tropical jams and jellies, etc. * Book a star gazing tour and look at planets, double stars, star clusters, nebulae, etc through a powerful telescope. * Get a massage from Wailea Massage & Body Care.

The views!

Great place to stay! We really enjoyed watching the whales and turtles from the condo, which was such a treat. The condo was clean, comfortable, and very quiet and provided everything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend!
