The key for the property was left in an open lock box; unsecure and available for anyone to take. When we arrived at the apartment itself, the cleaner was still there despite the property owner assuring us that it would be ready for us upon our arrival. Inside the apartment was disgusting. It was clear that the previous tenants or guests were careless and left it in a state of disrepair. This is despite the add assuring customers that there would be at least one day in between guests. The cleaner stated that she needed "at least two more hours" to complete her cleaning duties. In addition, the apartment was materially different from the listing. The second bedroom was a children's room, with a children's bed and toys, completely unfit for an adult. At this time we called the property manager and were told that there was nothing he could do, that it was an error on the cleaning ladies part, and that we had to take our concerns to VRBO directly. He was argumentative and unwilling to take our concerns seriously. We called VRBO and talked to two customer service agents over the span of approximately 45 minutes. We received no resolution but were merely assured that our concerns "would be escalated by their team". It has been over two weeks, and we have yet to receive any further communications from VRBO regarding our supposed "resolution". We could not be more dissatisfied with the listing, property manager, or service from VRBO. Please save your money and book elsewhere.
