The property is excellent. The staff that checked me in were good, but l got a worse experience on my last day of checking out. I was locked out of my room for an hour and half. And they charged me extra 40 pounds to let me back into the room. I was supposed to check out from the hotel at 5:00 pm. I went to eat. By the time l came back from the dinning they locked me out, l was so embraced with my son locked out. Nobody told that we are supposed to leave at 12:00 pm. How can they lock me out when is not yet time for me to leave. And demanded that l pay them extra 40 pounds for the remaining time of my check out.

The MontCalm was amazing, after a few snags (stained carpet and sofabed needed to be made), our stay was extremely comfortable! By far the best customer service I’ve experienced at a hospitality facility in a long while (and we’ve travelled a lot post Covid!!), a special shout out to Brenda, January, Ibra and mostly Service Manager Camelia who were all exceptional in making this a five star stay!! The hotel itself is amazing, great location at Finshbury Sq (2mins walk from Moorgate), the rooftop restaurant, the bar/restaurant in the lobby had some nice finger foods, the hotel itself needs some tlc but the extras (bathrobe, slippers, smart-control) overweighed the cons! We will be returning for sure, keep up the great customer service guys, you rock!!
