Sprawling Waterfront Haven with Private Dock & Boat Rental Option

Nestled along 300 feet of private lake frontage, this exceptional three-story retreat on Cedar Creek Lake offers an unparalleled waterfront experience. Showcasing breathtaking lake views from every room, the home features wraparound porches on the first two floors, providing a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living. A carved-out swimming area, safely tucked away from boat traffic, invites guests to enjoy the refreshing waters, while the large yard offers ample space for relaxation.

Our home is about a one hour drive from DFW so this is a perfect getaway spot. We have a covered boat slip and jet ski slip for your watercraft so you can easily access the water right from our private dock. Please let us know ahead of time if you are bringing any watercraft so we can tell you where to launch and if possible we can make our slips available to you. We rotate our own watercraft between our rentals so covered space may or may not be available.

We truly enjoy hosting a memorable experience for your group. We want you to come and relax, unwind and unplug from the city or other worries. We have done our best to provide everything you need to just show up and feel right at home. Check us out directly at FortnerPointe in your browser for what is going on at the lake and unadvertised specials.
High speed internet and 3 Smart TV's are located throughout the house. Bring your Netflix, Hulu or other streaming passwords.

Cedar Creek Lake is the 5th largest lake in Texas. Excellent fishing, boating, 4th of July Air Show, and lots of shops including First Monday Canton Trade Days just 25 minutes away. We are close to town so you won't need to drive 30-45 minutes around the lake if you forgot something.

The Tiki Hut at the marina and Vernon's are popular waterfront restaurants accessible by boat. Our location is just a few minutes to Walmart, Brookshire's and local restaurants.

Beyond the property, Gun Barrel City and the surrounding areas offer a variety of activities and attractions. Guests can visit Tom Finley Park for additional lake access and scenic picnic spots, or explore local dining at popular lakeside restaurants. Cedar Creek Brewery provides craft beer tastings in a laid-back atmosphere, while Purtis Creek State Park is ideal for hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. For a unique shopping experience, Canton Flea Market showcases local artisans and hidden treasures. Those seeking a change of pace can take a day trip to Dallas, just over an hour away, where world-class dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences await.

College Retreat

We had a wonderful time with the large living room, fabulous kitchen, beautiful yard, and plenty of beds for 22 of us. We will definitely consider returning for future events. We highly recommend this property!

Family reunion

Great getaway close to Dallas

We had an extended family get together and the property was perfect! The views are amazing and there was so much to do for all ages on the property that we never had to leave. Melissa and Tony were great and they had everything in great shape for our arrival. We hope to come back again for our next event!

Great Experience for a Leadership Retreat

We had a great time bringing our student leaders to this property for our leader retreat. We had plenty of room for 20 people and everyone enjoyed themselves. The property is beautiful with great views and the owners really do a great job taking care of you and your stay. I would highly recommend Tony and Melissa and this property for your next stay!

Great Relaxing Stay

We had a group of about 20 for a work retreat. Melissa was very communicative and everything was just as described. Plenty of room for everyone and everything we needed for cooking for a large group was supplied. We had a great relaxing weekend team building, playing games, & eating good food. This place is a homerun.

The property itself, the spot on the lake, the views, the volleyball court etc. were perfect. The place is set up to entertain. The kitchen is very well stocked. 2 huge sinks, 2 dishwashers made cleaning up after feeding a large group very easy. We have been taking this trip with this group for 23 years now and this place is on a very short list of everyone's favorites. Boat and jet ski rentals were very easy as was everything with this owner. They are very responsive and definitely seemed to care about your stay. We would for sure rent again. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven with us for the weekend.

Perfect stay for our fantasy football draft weekend.

Perfect getaway from Dallas. 16 of us shared the house for the weekend and still had plenty of room. Kitchen was perfect and well stocked and we cooked every meal. Played volleyball and ping pong all weekend and hung out on the water. Would definitely recommend.

Home away from home

This was a great home that had everything you need for a family and friends getaway. We were quite impressed with the quantity and quality of the linens, towels, and kitchen items making our stay even easier as we didn’t need to bring everything with us. Melissa was so easy to communicate with and always available. She sent great tips ahead of time and thought of everything we may need during our stay. Perfect holiday getaway!

Great location, comfortable for the 12 people we had.

The house was clean and beautiful. The small town was great. There are stores right up the road, and we could easily get to if we needed. My only complaint is, there needs to be better cooking equipment. For the size of that property and the amount of people that it can hold, the pots and pans were too small and not enough.

Perfect Location, Great Size and Full of Amenities

Great Spot for our Girl Scout Troop. Plenty of Space, Clean and Amenities Galore. It had everything we needed and lots of room for all of us. Host is awesome, easy to communicate with and helpful. Lake Front views were great. Firepit easy to use. Game and Activity room for the girls. Kitchen has double of everything so its beneficial for large groups. We will be back, All around 5-Stars. Awesome place.

This is a wonderful house and property located along the Cedar Creek Reservoir Lake. The house is great for large family and friends gatherings.The house fit all of us very comfortably and there was still room to fit more. The home was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay. Everything about the property was great. NO problems at all. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed when we needed it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great house!

This house is bomb! Everything it appears to be and more. Melissa was very easy to deal with and was quick to answer any of our questions. Just make sure to check in advance if the lake is low your boat may not reach the dock due to shallow water. This lake is beautiful and this house is a great place to enjoy it!

Excellent Stay!

Great location for a professional team building weekend. Everyone enjoyed the house as it was very clean, spacious and has a great A/C….so necessary during this heatwave! There are lots of areas for activities as well. The hostess, Melissa, was extremely helpful with information about the house & property. She provided excellent recommendations for catering lunch and dinner during our stay….plus has a wealth of knowledge about all the community has to offer. Melissa is so easy to communicate with and she was quick to return all messages. It was a GREAT stay! Highly recommended!!

Wonderful Family Property

This was a wonderful place to spend with our family. The home is very spacious with plenty of room for everyone to spread out or many places to congregate without feeling cramped. The kids enjoyed watching movies upstairs while the adults watched football downstairs. Several catfish were caught right off the dock. The views are endless from every room in the house. The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was available for cooking in the gourmet kitchen. We love the location being so close to town to get groceries and bait. We will definitely come again!
