The house can be reached by car from the A60 in 3 minutes, from Frankfurt Airport in 23 minutes and from Mainz City in 11 minutes by bus. The central location of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, doctors, pharmacies, beautiful playgrounds and various supermarkets and shops are within walking distance in a few minutes, the stadium of Mainz 05 and the university campus are quite close.

During the energetic refurbishment of the former farm building built around 1890, we placed great emphasis on ecology and sustainability: the building is heated by a pellet heating system, the walls are painted with white bio-silicate paint, the wooden floorboards are oiled ( instead of lacquered), and the electricity comes from its own roof during the day.
Courtyard and garden
The sheltered garden, along which no roads lead along, with its fruit and flower meadows and lawns is a place for adults to relax and for children a large adventure playground including giant trampoline and a large, covered with quarry stone sandpit. There is also a fire pit for barbecues or "just-so-comfortable-sitting together". The garden can be used by all residents of the Hofreite.

Finthen is one of the most attractive parts of Mainz. It has retained its rural charm but offers urban infrastructure.
