Could not be much better.
Terrace with space fir 6 with lovely view to harbour and Garde de Notre Dame. Small but adequate kitchen, dining/living area sufficient. 2 decent doubles, one with access to a third double above. Great location, 15 minutes down from station, 1 minute from old port area, boat trips, bars, restaurants. Julien in shop at base of building for advice (and exc. wine and nibbles. Couldn’t be much better.

Magnifique Marseille!!!
We had the time of our lives here! The apartment was everything you could hope for and more! The multi-level space was light filled and had plenty of room to relax and lounge. The bed is large and comfortable and closing the window/curtains made the room dark and quiet at night. Bathroom is very nice size, especially the walk in shower which was nice for my 6 ft tall husband. As previous reviews have said, the roof top deck is amazing—everyone should at least once in their life have the chance to soak in the sights and sounds of Marseille from there! We enjoyed many lovely picnics on the rooftop, often of various treats/wine we purchased at Fernand et Lily, Julien’s tribute to the grandparents he so loved! But what made our trip so memorable and special was meeting the incredibly kind and helpful Julien and Frederique who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived! As I told Julien when we were leaving, we felt as if we’d made new friends and not just people we were renting an apartment from. We truly hope to return someday! And by the way, if Julien makes a restaurant recommendation or tells you about a neighborhood to explore you should absolutely do it—you will never be disappointed!

Amazing view!
The view from the deck is unmatched. This is a quirky but spacious property. Vieux Port is a lively neighborhood and some nights was a little noisy. The hosts were wonderful-very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again on a return trip!

Stunning views from roof terrace
This was a very interesting, quirky property. The views are absolutely amazing! The owner Julien was extremely helpful and was very accessible working in his shop beneath the property. We would highly recommend this property. The location is fantastic too.

No picture can do it justice ! It’s the apt major asset! The location is also fabulous !That being said beds are good. shower is excellent kitchen is adequate. We’re a senior couple in very good shape if you have problem with steps this is not for you. But overall I would stay there again with no hesitation

A wonderful location and an unbelievable view!
This apartment is on an unassuming street right around the corner from the Port. It sprawls over two floors, so it is plenty roomy. I hope you get to check in at sunset as we did, because when Julien showed us the balcony, it took our breath away. THAT VIEW IS SPECTACULAR! The bedroom on the bottom floor is a little bigger and right next to the full bath (the description says 0 full baths? That's not accurate, of course. There's a shower/double sink and WC on the bottom floor, with a separate WC on the top floor). The street below is LOUD, but the windows shut out the sound. There is no A/C, but in October the fan was adequate, even with the windows closed. The kitchen is well appointed with several types of coffee makers, and some supplies. Grocery store is right around the corner, along with a Starbucks and pastry show (delicious croissants!). Two of the pictures for this listing show a building facade -- this is actually the building across the street (can be confusing if you think this is the actual building the apartment is in). There is a new French Burger that has opened in the bottom of that building, right across the street, and it is quite delicious and the guys in there are wonderful. We ate there twice! The size and location of this apartment make it a great base for your stay, but that balcony view is the true selling point. The pictures don't do it justice! Julien is a wonderful host. He met us at the apartment, showed us around and spent a lot of time going over the area map and suggesting sites and events. He also owns the apartment next door, and as he was working there on the first morning of our stay, he brought us croissants for breakfast. We really enjoyed working with him. You will be right next door to the Hotel Hermes. If you need a taxi, their front desk will get one for you thanks to a prior arrangement with Julien. They were so very helpful and spoke great English. It really worked out well for us, even when I had to leave at 5:30 AM for an early flight. This is not a fancy apartment, but we loved staying here and making it our home base in Marseille. Having our coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on that balcony will be a memory we will always cherish. Thank you, Julien, for sharing your apartment with two Mississippi girls. It was a fantastic trip!
