The studio apartment includes a queen sized bed, balcony, courtyard, central air/heat, fully furnished kitchen, microwave, washer/dryer, and private bathroom. Laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner, soap and supplies are located in the unit.
Interaction with guests
Will greet guests upon arrival or leave keys in lockbox. The carriage house and courtyard are gated with keyless entry. The owner lives next door and is available as needed.
The neighborhood
The apartment is centrally located within easy access of the French Quarter (less than 1 mile), Magazine street restaurants and shops, World War II museum, Convention Center, and the Garden district. One and a half blocks from world famous St. Charles Ave. The major parade route. Easy access to Jamaican , Columbia , and and Central City BBQ.
There are two grocery stores within walking distance:
1. Drydes - 1307 Ortega Castle Haley Blvd (located .2 miles from apt.)
2. Rouses - 701 Baronne street (located .4 miles from apt.)
There is an Exxon gas station 2 blocks away adjacent to Lee circle.
There is a bike/scooter rental shop one block away on St Charles with day or weekly rentals.
Getting around
The apartment is close to everything so most neighborhoods and attractions can be reached by foot. The St. Charles street car line is one block away and an all-day pass is $3.00. For those who prefer car service, an Uber ride to the French Quarter is $6 to $7.
