The room had a very retro feel and was very clean. The bed encasement did not fit the mattress and was not closed properly - it was way too big. Need to contact CleanBrands 401-439-7074
Rooms are tiny, decor lacks life, even if going for a minimalist vibe. Have stayed in chain hotels in midwestern suburbs that have better decor - would have expected more from this brand. The decently sized marble shower was probably the nicest part of the room. The bed wasn’t comfortable - the mattress was so light that if I brushed past it it actually shifted off the platform (I’m 115 lbs so it wasn’t that forceful...). But the worst part was the noise. I don’t think the room was well insulated, probably because this is an older property. I was on the 11th floor and heard conversations on the street, conversations in the hall (and there are plenty of drunk guests returning from the bar downstairs), and conversations and even phone alarms from other rooms in the morning. I came to get away for the weekend and wanted to sleep in but thanks to other people’s alarms that didn’t happen so I’m still exhausted from the weekend. Service - very hit or miss in terms of friendliness depending on the person. Had some super sweet and some pretty standoffish interactions. I’m pretty friendly and really don’t think it was me. Additionally, there were 4 times room service didn’t answer the phone (one time they called back 10 min later) so I ate protein bars I had packed. I tried to cancel one day early to go to a different hotel bc I really didn’t want to have to leave this review and they refused. Silly to force someone unhappy to stay... just let me go quietly and I’d have been happy.
For the price it was perfect location and room . Had dinner at scarpetta food was ok for the price i don’t know. But the hotel was perfect
Hotel is very nice. The room and bathroom were big (for NYC) and modern.
