Fresh Powder is in one of the best spots on the mountain, we stayed in the studio apartment which was massive and more than enough room for two people on a ski holiday. Niseko Portfolio (the property managers) were amazing and very responsive to our needs and questions, the pick up from the welcome center and the free trip into the supermarket at Kutchan was an added extra service that made the stay so much easier. Over value for money was excellent - we’ll definitely be back!

The apartment was clean and an adequate size for 2 people. The decor was basic but tired. There was also a good sized communal ski room and dry room downstairs. However the lack of storage facilities and the bizarre fittings in the bathroom (sink and shower) made my stay at FP somewhat below average. There were NO shelves, drawers or wardrobe in the bedroom! Just 2 hooks and a bedside table. There was only a small closet in the hallway which was already half filled with spare duvet, ironing board etc so only had room for a couple of light jackets. There was also no shelves or spare cupboard in the kitchen area to store groceries. I had nowhere to unpack my clothes so had to leave my suitcase opened in the living room whilst the groceries were all left on the dining table. The bathroom sink was 6 -8 inches higher than normal sinks which made it very awkward for washing. I felt like a three-year-old having to stand on tip toes just to wash my hands and brush my teeth. It also made it difficult to get close to the mirror for putting in contact lenses or grooming. Oh, and the bathroom mirror is the ONLY mirror in the apartment. Whilst the guest service was great and the location was close to gondola (8-10 mins walk with ski gear). The apartment itself was a disappointment. For the price I paid, even taking into account that it’s peak season, I expected basic but comfortable.

Overall a comfortable and clean room
Overall room was in good condition. Well furnished and equipped for any families to stay for an extended period. Take note that room can be a little warm during summer due to lack of fans and central ventilation seems a little lacking (maybe more suited for winter). There is also no lift and we had to take 2 flights of stairs up.
