Nice country get-away
We very much enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend. The kids loved the large pool and fishing at the pond. The sheep were a big hit with the little kids as well. The house was big enough for our 16 person family with plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. The large outdoor porch was awesome and the separate pool house was a nice place to sit and watch the kids swim. As others have stated, the landscaping could use some help. We did not mind the lack of greenery as its brown all over Texas this year, but some weed eating around the pool area and general upkeep would have been nice. There were still quite a few light bulbs out all over the place with a bathroom or two only having a single vanity light bulb working. The house was in good shape other than the light bulbs. Overall its a nice place to stay, but with a little bit of TLC it could be very nice. (4 star overall due to landscape and lightbulbs only)

Still Needs Improvements
This was our second stay here this summer. The only thing that was rectified from my previous review was they had shredded/mowed everything which was a huge improvement. However, the outer glass of the door in the back bedroom was busted out. Luckily there was also an inner pane of glass that was intact so we could still use the bedroom. There were even more light bulbs out, including the breezeway between the houses which required a flashlight to walk across now. The freezer was turned off when we got there. The refrigerator hadn't been cleaned. There was no broom or dust pan. The outside table hadn't been cleaned & was dirty& sticky. I live in a rural area & understand that insects are a part of that but I have never seen so many, so large spiders in my life! You had to watch were you walked outside & we had to fish multiple spiders out of the pool each morning. The house just isn't being maintained & as other reviewers have stated, the pictures no longer accurately represent the house.

So Much Potential
Our extended family of 10 spent 4 days at this lovely house. First, the positives, the location was very central for all our family. It is very private in a beautiful setting. There are grocery stores & dollar stores within 15-20 minutes for any needed items.The house is huge & gave us all room to be together or separate for a bit. Do be aware that 3 of the bedrooms are across a breezeway & separate from the main house. This was not mentioned in the listing. The pool house was a great place to get out of the sun & relax. The kitchen is gorgeous & huge. The sun platform in the pool was used a lot. The pool is large & there was plenty of room for all of us at once. Several of our group enjoyed fishing in the pond. Unfortunately, the floating dock has been pulled out. Now for the negatives. The outside is very overgrown, with plants 5'+ in the flower beds. You had to crawl through bushes to open the front There were a minimum of 20 light bulbs out all over the house. The pool skimmer does not appear to be working or just barely. We were constantly cleaning out bugs, etc. There were only 4 wash cloths provided for our family of 10. We had to buy some from the dollar store to get by. The kitchen was very poorly stocked. The dishwasher didn't clean the dishes even with cleaning them off before washing. We had to hand wash everything. The toilet seat in the pool house was missing & later found in a cabinet. This house could be absolutely amazing with just some attention & upkeep.

Disappointing
The pictures posted are not representative of the current state of the property. The flower beds around the front door and pool area are completely unkept and overgrown and there was bird poop all over the front porch. The bathroom/shower in the pool house doesn’t work. There was a broken foozeball table just lying on the ground in disrepair. There is a dart board, but no darts. The beautiful master bedroom and bath did not have working air conditioning. There is no outdoor tv as the pictures show. The dock at the pond was pretty much totally out of the water, and there was no clear path to even get down to it to fish. Overall, we made the best of the situation, the inside of the house was clean, but for the money we paid, we were extremely disappointed.

Vacation 2.0
This was our second time using the home. We enjoyed ourselves once again. We fished. We swam in the pool. We played games in the game room. We slept and relaxed. We felt like we were on a secluded island of our own. The grandkids were thrilled with the sheep and goats we saw. Large space for a lot of family to house at once. We rate this home #1 on our list for vacationing. Loved the shower and jacuzzi tub in the master also.

Beautiful Ranch
The house and property are magnificent. The kitchen is to die for! Upkeep such as grass near the house and the pool could use more attention. The master bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the master shower is other-worldly! Loved having so many bathrooms. Note: 3 bedrooms and 3 baths are in a guesthouse across a breeze way. One bath is in the poolhouse and was non-functional. The views of the pond and sunsets and sheep/goats are spectacular, but the pond is not accessible except through fencing/field. The poolhouse was great for hanging out away from the sun. Overall, we loved our stay.

Perfect “Getaway”
Our family absolutely LOVED this property! It is a beautiful countryside estate with every modern amenity you could ask for including super fast Internet which was a plus for our gaming teenagers. The property offered us privacy and security yet also still close enough to an H‑E‑B Plus in Woodway off Hwy 84. The only complaint we could really think of would be the overgrown flower beds around the house and several light bulbs being out throughout the property otherwise nothing major whatsoever and we would definitely stay here again! We made the most beautiful memories with our family and close friends, and are hoping to plan another trip back in the future! Thank you owners for sharing your lovely home with us!!!
