The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
The Condo is very nice and spacious. The location is quite a distance to Cabarete and Sosua. Taxi to either towns are not 200 pesos as stated in condo information they are 600 pesos each direction so $25 to $30 return depending on Canadian or American dollars. Their is no Bar or Restaurant at the complex. It has been completely closed for 2 years due to covid with no sign of its return. So eating out is very expensive if you add taxi fare. Cooking becomes necessary. The whole apartment water filter is a farce. It is there but does not work it is unplugged.
We were there 6 weeks and still the plumber has not arrived. From what I hear from others in the building is it will likely never work. The Refrigerator leaks so mopping floor is an extra chore needed. The owner has one set of sheets for each bed and one set of towels for each bathroom. Thats fine for someone staying a few days or a week, maybe, but for 6 weeks. She wont pay to have them cleaned at all,and wont pay to have her condo cleaned for the whole 6 weeks. We paid $800 pesos to wash her bedding and towel. And we paid $30 to have the condo properly cleaned once. We kept the daily housekeeping up other than that. This apartment is not looked after by the condo complex so if you have problems, there is nobody to help other than the owner who is out of Country and obviously has not been to her Condo in years judging by her condo description.
