Property served the needs of our trip (6 nights). Eating in was possible with the dining space. And the kitchen afforded us quick hot drinks when we wanted. I also loved that it afforded bigger sofa bed for my son. I would recommend. Being in downtown tho', you will hear commotions of passers-by. But noise from next room, no you won't.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Vera and would potentially recommend it as a place to book, with at least a couple asterisks included. The 'hotel' is much closer to an Airbnb booking than an actual hotel. The space is great and the staff are responsive to your messages, but keep in mind there aren't any on-site staff and the hotel entrance is located through/attached to a restaurant. You can't store luggage before or after your stay, you can't ask for early or late check ins/outs and the walls are thinner than expected so you will hear bookings you share a wall with. Overall, this is a good place to stay, especially for the price. You are given clear instructions for checking in, just keep the few caveats in mind!

1. No one on site to assist. If we need help we can only call through a speaker by the external entrance. 2. Use code to enter main entrance and room but the lock is very difficult to use and the lock system log out a few times. 3. Cannot store luggage before check-in or after check-out time. 4. Skylight window curtain is broken and the window is right over our bed, so we have no privacy at all. Since there is no staff on site, we do not know who to talk to about fixing it. 5. No one to help with tour or transportation booking.

So clean, comfortable, a good place in town. Would definitely come again! The building water had a sulphuric smell but it was potable.

Good little space in heart of Reykjavik
Location was amazing. Close to restaurants and bars at Bust Stop Number 9. Small comfortable room with all necessities. We had few issues when we’re there such as a renovation upstairs causing fume issues and ability to get clean towels, but there was strike by some hotel workers in Iceland during our stay.

A nice hotel right in the middle of downtown Reykjavik. Getting in was a little confusing (the elevator is in the restaurant), but the room was nice. It had a little kitchenette so if you wanted a good place to stay and explore the city, but also save some money by cooking some things yourself this is a great option. It is right in a restaurant and shopping district and near a bus stop, so convenience can't be beat. The restaurant on the bottom floor (that is part of the hotel) was fantastic too.
