San Bruno Trip

Close to airport and real handy for SF and Peninsular. No breakfast buffet and pretty limited 'cafe'. More for the business crowd than tourists unless you know the area and revisiting. Worked well for me catching up with people I know locally and a day trip into city.

Great stay

Very comfortable but definitely in the flight path for SFO. Some hallway noise, but not much. I live rurally so hearing the airplanes so loudly kept me up at times. Probably it wouldn’t affect others from more urban areas as much. Water was hot, room temperature comfortable, bed and sheets súper and I didn’t feel cramped in the room. One of the few hotels that have a scheduled free shuttle at 2:30 am with about 10 min to arrive at SFO so I am happy. Overall excellent experience.

We did not find out until we arrived that there was no restaurant or bar open at the facility which is one of the reasons we booked here. Also there is no microwave in the room.

The staff are very nice. However we reserved a shuttle from the hotel to the airport but it didn't show up so the lady at the front desk apologized and said she would call an Uber and the hotel would pay for it since they failed with the shuttle service. When I checked my bank account a couple of days later it shows they charged me for the Uber. Free shuttle was my main factor for choosing this hotel so for them to charge me for transportation is unfair and dishonest. The hotel itself is nice. The room was clean. Yes, you can hear airplanes due to location but it wasn't too loud. My only complaint about the room is that the beds are extremely uncomfortable. They are very bouncy so you can feel every movement. Also I could feel the bed springs through the mattress.

Check-in was a nightmare. It took 45 minutes and we were the only customers there the first 20! Staff was untrained and left to fend for herself. Did not receive the rooms we had earlier called and confirmed. Room itself was lovely. Close proximity to airport was both a blessing and a curse. Planes take off ALL night long interrupting sleep. We were double billed for parking which they said they will correct. Given all the problems we had even though the room was nice, we would not stay there again.
