Great Location!
The location of the house is perfect! Less than 1 block from beach access. The only downfall for my family (due to the age of the children) of the house is that the bottom floor bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room are not accessible from inside the second floor. And the pool is only accessible from the driveway. Other than that, the house was perfect.

Graduation Trip for Our Daughter
Overall the property was not the worst, but definitely did not meet our expectations and the photos were a little deceiving. 1. The pool filter does not work efficiently. We were CONSTANTLY cleaning the pool, before, during and after swimming. 2. Tge hot tub barely bubbles or gets hot. The controls are extremely confusing, or lack there of. 3. House is very dated. It seems like sloppy updates with paint have been made to cover up instead of replace. 4. THE MATTRESSES ON EVERY BED IS ABSOLUTE HORROR. None of them are comfortable. They are thin, noisy, and down right not comfortable at all. 5. The absolute tinest T.V. I have ever seen in a rental as expensive as this place. 6. There are not any mixing bowls...not a huge factor, but definitely inconvenient. 7. Finally the absolute WORST part of this house and the reason we would never stay here again...the bottom is 100% disconnected from the top. That was not made clear in the description or photos. We had our daughter, son-in-law, and infant grandson downstairs for napping etc. and literally walking across the floor upstairs sounded like a herd of animals below. It was TERRIBLE! My grandson isn't a light sleeper at all, but I was livid when I went downstairs and just simple walking above sounded like someone was about to come through the ceiling. It made it difficult to do anything in the mornings while the ones below were sleeping. 8. Location was ideal! I would definitely stay in this area again.

Great House with Plenty of Room
The pool and hot tub were a huge hit and a nice alternative option to the beach! So much room, the family all raved about the place. The one thing I would say is that the mattresses were very hard. I still gave 5 stars, and if we come back we will absolutely book this place or another property of theirs with a similar setup. Would definitely recommend to friends.

1st Time on Island
At the start we were confused by the layout of the property. No interior access from the lower level to upper and no direct access to the back yard pool area. The Internet and Cable did not work upon arrival. The Toaster, Washer and Garbage disposal were also not working. We simply made a call to SPI property management and the issues were fixed right away! What could have been a huge issue was quickly fixed. The Property is not glamorous, but it will grow on you. Location, space and pool/hot tub/ grill were what we wanted. Maybe a bit overpriced, but we had a great week in South Padre!

Great vacation home!
The house was perfect for the 12 guests we had staying for the week. It could use a bit more cleaning. There was a lot of dust collecting in the corners. The pool was great and offers a nice cool down for the intense sun. The hot tub was out of order most of our stay, which was unfortunate. It would have been nice to have on the cooler evenings. The management company did seem concerned and reached out to the pool company right away, but there was little follow up after that. We had to call and check in on the status every day. The hot tub was finally fixed our last night in the house and the management company did offer a refund that somewhat made up for not having the amenity for the week. Overall, our stay was relaxing and comfortable and I would recommend staying here upon a visit to the island!

Disappointed with management and property
We noticed it was not clean thoroughly; started out having problems with toilets, which we ourselves fixed. The washer never worked, it was hard doing laundry, staying there for a week obviously we needed to wash our clothes. Management send someone to fix it but to mo avail, parts would not get there until after we left. In the meantime they told us to use the local laundromats and they would give us a $300+ credit, which was quite an inconvenience, we still had 4 more days left. The people next door were also encountering problems that they hot upset and left the property. Management must be more careful in the cleanliness of properties especially with this pandemic and they should always be available to help. I've always looked to SPI rentals when we go up to the island every year, but I believe it's time to look at other rental places.

SPI experience
Check in time house was not ready on time. It was 4 :40 when they told us upstairs was ready. We waited in truck and it was a very hot day. We had groceries on the truck, until they gave us permission to go in and start unloading stuff in fridge. The pool was foggy cuz it had barely been clean. So it took time to clear. I think they should clean it early morning when somebody is checking out . When I tried to wash some clothes the washer scared the heck out of me cuz it was moving crazy... So we didn't have a washer,the days we were their only dryer. They came to check it, they had to order parts so I didn't have a washer. In patio their was a lot of grease on Cement, that we brought up to cleaning employees they said it was going to be cleaned, it wasnt cleaned. SPI rentals did return some credit for cleaning process. I send them pics. They also let me check out late at 12,checking out time was suppose to be 10am, but well by 9 am their was maintenance people cutting yard with mower and weed eater, I guess to make sure we woke up and get the heck out of their.SMH... but it is a nice house. Maybe if owner gets their own people and check it themselves.. because SPI cleaning group ,I believe waste too much time and don't do their work. It is a nice beach house. But they need a very strict manager that makes sure employees do their duties.I loved the house but many little issues that the first day was very frustrating and it seemed I had to be on the phone constantly with SPI rentals. Their is plenty of toys for pool and beach, but they were all disorganized that I organized myself. The cabinets too. As I used pans I tried to organize them too. I tried to get an extra blanket from closet,as I got it sand fell into my eyes from it. I just feel sorry for owners that they have such a beautiful beach house,and they trust SPI rental company and SPI employees don't do their job, and we paid A good amount of money for those 3 nights. I was very disappointed. I still have the pics. I also think another fridge on bottom would really benefit any one that rent this beautiful beach house.
