Great Hiking Trip Stop

Great location to hike Garner State Park and Lost Maples. Lots of room, and a wonderful patio for dinner and breakfast time.

Home away from home

I'm from Utopia and I love staying in remote areas instead of in town. Plus this place isn't far from my brother. Love the country and privacy this place has My granddaughters love to hike and see the wild animals. I've stayed in both houses y'all offer and I would recommend either one!

Cozy and comfortable

Had 6 of us stay here since you're a short drive to the state park. Fit our needs perfectly. There were plenty of beds and we even hiked up to the eagles nest. Great view. The tub in the master was amazing and we really enjoyed having that. We would definitely stay again.

House ok and clean Cooking utensils somewhat outdated, need upgrade The so called "grill" is a piece of rusty and dirty junk. Wouldn't want to bbq on it.

Scenic View?

While we enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood, the total cost of rental was over priced compared to what we expected. There was only the initial communication as to checkin checkout and house rules which was emailed a day or so after booking. There was no communication upon arrival or checkout. If we return to the area, this place will not be on our list as a place to stay overnight, nor will we give it high marks to any of our family or friends . It was a just okay place at an over priced stay.

Great get-away location

Property was great. House was large with all our needs. Very clean. Some furnishing are worn, but overall, a great place to stay. We appreciated the 3 bedrooms to spread out a bit more and let everyone have their own space. We would stay here again.

Absolutely Captivating!

A oasis away from the busy city life. Surprised my wife with this gem of a stay for her birthday and it was a success! We felt Rejuvenated here. Great for couples getaway! Pack all essentials as if for camping and stock your fridge for a scenic stay.

This property was clean and quiet which was perfect. However the tub didn't hold water and there were only 2 movies that actually played in the DVR. There was no cell reception or wifi available.

Love Utopia

This is probably our 20th+ stay in this area. It is an absolutely gorgeous drive through the hills to get to the parks. The house was very accommodating and we got to see a lot of wildlife while we were on the property. Overall it was a wonderful time.

Little vacation away from home

The property was amazing! Detergent to wash clothes, pans, and pots for cooking. Plenty of space and utopia park was a few minutes away! Frio river was about 30 minutes or so, which made for a great retreat! Loved everything about my stay!

Amazing Views

We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away from it all. We had service with our Sprint phones, and loved that there was no TV other than a DVD player and a selection of movies. Clean, comfortable place and the views were amazing.

Truly the most adorable home in the hills with an unbelievable view. We loved the Eagle Nest!! Mr. Rodriguez was incredibly nice and gave us a late check out. We weren’t ready to leave :) We’ll be back soon!
