When I arrived at the Cozy Cottage, I checked the stay first and was delighted! The place was immaculately clean, parking was phenomenal, and it was easy to find. The Cottage was bigger than I thought, and there was plenty of room to stretch out. If I was not traveling solo, it would have been plenty of room for more people or dogs. Parking was literally next to the cottage, as I was able to park in the driveway.
Vanessa, the owner, came out to say hello and ask if there was anything I needed (which there was not, because she had stocked the Cottage with everything)! I also met her adorable and friendly doggo! Vanessa was available via text and very quick to answer any questions, but not intrusive. She is a wonderful property owner and manager and made me feel very welcome in the space.
I knew there was a train that passed, but I never heard it because I was sound asleep. The Cottage was perfectly cooled, there were fans if you prefer air circulation, and the bed is massive and so comfortable. The bathroom is well stocked and the shower had great water pressure.
Valley Mills is close enough to the surrounding cities and towns to be extremely convenient, but far enough away that a person can get away from life if they choose.
I already am planning to reserve the Cottage next year, and would love to return for a weekend of peace and quiet. An excellent stay all around!
