Wonderful, relaxing Location

An absolutely wonderful stay, nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. The location is stunning, easy to locate, parking a few metres from reception, ideal for couples or larger parties of golfers.

So far the best Macdonald Hotel I've stayed at. Nice facilities, friendly staff and the golf course makes a great running loop.

Large corporate hotel - everything works !

Warm welcome at check in and very efficient. Large comfortable room everything worked . Great staff. . Reasonable food promptly served . Rather noisy at night - mostly single men on golfing weekend so banging doors and boisterous noise after being in the bar!

Well located but dated

Well located for a business trip. Hotel getting quite tired and in need of refurbishment, although the hotels.com photos gave the impression of being very well maintained. Piped music system had a wiring issue meaning very annoying buzz/hiss accompanied breakfast/dinner/bar.

The reason I haven’t given higher rating is the condition and cleanliness of the bathroom. The shower sealant was discoloured with mould in parts and the extractor fan in the ceiling had dust hanging out of it

1 night stay

The staff were very welcoming on arrival and managed to getbus checked in early. The room was spacious and the beds extremely comfy. The tea and coffee facilities were very basic and the kettle in the room was well used. Breakfast was very basic for the price and i think very expensive for what was on offer. Other than this the stay was nice and again the staff were all polite and helpful

Everything was good we stayed in room 111 and the only thing I would report on the downside was that the bed seemed to dip in the middle. We realise it was two single beds joined together, but it definitely dipped in the middle.
