Day 1: Marrakech - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazat - Zagora
We will leave early morning from Marrakech between 7 and 8 am. Let yourself be surprised by the valleys and the Atlas Mountains. Arrive at the Ksar (fortified town) of Ait Ben Haddou, which is located along the old caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech.
Take photos of the city of Ait Ben Haddou, which served as the backdrop for films such as “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Bandits of Time”, “Kundun”, “The Mummy”, and many others. Find out why it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1989. Stop for lunch at a restaurant in front of the Kasbah.
Drive to Ouarzazate, home to film studios and famous sandstone buildings and desert landscapes. Take a cruise through the inspiring Anti-Atlas Mountains (Tizi N Tnifift), as well as the lush valleys of Agdz and the Draa Valley.
Arrive in Zagora and ride a well-trained camel through the desert as the sun sets on the sand. Stop at your campsite and enjoy a hearty dinner before sleeping like a local in an authentic Berber tent.
Day 2: Zagora - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise before taking breakfast. Return by camel to Zagora where you will meet your driver.
Return to Ouarzazate by car through the Draa Valley and the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Stop 20 minutes in Ouarzazate and visit the Kasbah of Taourirt or the cinema museum.
Finally, have lunch in Ouarzazate or in the mountains on the way to Marrakech. Your arrival in Marrakech is scheduled at 6 pm.
