Once you’ve explored San Francisco’s most fascinating landmark on an Alcatraz Prison Tour, hop on an Electric bike to enjoy the coastline that surrounds it!

Experience a visit to the Alcatraz Island with its the official concessionaire, Alcatraz Cruises. Departing from Pier 33, the boat to Alcatraz serves as a bay cruise and upon arrival to the island guests will be outfitted with an audio headset for self-guided touring. Once back from Alcatraz, walk to Bay City Bike at 501 Bay or 2661 Taylor and enjoy a self-guided Electric bike rental. Riders will be instructed on the biking route, and then provided a proper Ebike fitting and outfitted with a current year model bike with front handlebar bag, rear gear rack, and takeaway map. Riders may journey wherever they would like for full-day use. We recommend following the bike path along the San Francisco waterfront past Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, the Marina, and the Presidio, through Crissy Field and to Fort Point. Riders cross the Golden Gate Bridge on a wide bike path, then through Vista Point to Old Fort Baker. Most people will ride over the Golden Gate Bridge and back, or to Sausalito, where ferries await most days to shuttle you back!

Additional Bike Info

E Bikes ages 10 & up, under 18 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older. Guest must bring one credit card and ID per booking party. Closed-toed shoes and a light jacket are recommended as San Francisco has varying micro-climates.

Alcatraz Info

Boats depart from Pier 33. Arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before your departure. All riders’ names must have been submitted with booking. Riders MUST present ID at tour time.
