We arrived in Corfu by a cruise ship. Firstly there is no advantage in buying the tour in advance because on arrival at the port terminal, we stood in line to show our vouchers to get the tickets with others who were buying their tickets without pre booking. That took more than 20 minutes. We had chosen Achillion Line and we waited half hour for the tour bus to pick us up. We noticed that the buses for the Achillion line was half the size of the buses of The Kanoni Line.The bus went through town and the first stop after close to 20 minutes was the Achillion Palace. It was midday. We were told by the bus driver that next bus will arrive in 1 hour to pick us up for the next stop. After visiting the Palace, we were at the bus stop at 12:50 and there were people in line before us who could not get on the bus that drove us at midday because there was not enough space. So there was a good chance that the bus of 13:00 will not have enough space for us (4 people).

Hated it. My husband and I typically love these buses but unfortunately did not like our time in Corfu. Part of it was specifically Corfu and the other part was the actual buses themselves. As for Corfu, we could have done with not even getting off our ship. We did line A because we were short on port time and got off at most stops. We in turn got right back on the bus 10min after each stop as there’s nothing to really do or see in comparison. The only stop worth it was the fort which we spent most of our time but wish we had gone straight there and didn’t bother at the other stops. At one stop there was a cafe and a monastery, at another a small area of beaten down structures, the fort, a square etc. As for the actual hop on hop off, it was chaotic and unstructured. You spend about 45min in nonstop traffic getting to stop one. The bus is hot and packed and no one gets off the top. They switched buses halfway through and had we not asked about it we would’ve missed our ship

Enjoyed the scenic ride to see thevAchilleon Palace and Other sites of the city. The bus had to be picked up at the new port location. We then waited for the line 2 bus. The bus driver did an excellent job on the narrow winding roads. There is an additional 10 Euro fee at the Achilleon, but it is worth it. We waited about 12 mnutes for the return bus which took us into town or back to the new port. We were able to take many lovely photos. The bus went by major sites in the City. We opted to get off at the stop closest to our hotel. It was an opportunity to see Achilleon, a major sight in Corfu, and sights of the town and take photos. If you want to see Achilleon - which I recommend, it is not necessary to buy the combined ticket, just buy the one for Achilleon and you will see all of the important sights. I highly recommend we need it.
