What you can expect

  • Begin by selecting a suitable knife pattern from several popular traditional Vietnamese styles. Then, learn how to forge steel using traditional blacksmith methods passed down through generations.

    Use a machine to create and refine the knife shape you want. Grind and sharpen the blade for the first time using workshop machines to create the knife’s cutting edge.

    Heat and temper the blade over the fire to strengthen the steel and improve durability. Grind and sharpen the blade for the second time using workshop machines to create the knife’s cutting edge.

    Refine the blade to make it thinner and sharper for better cutting performance. Attach the finished blade to the handle and assemble your handmade knife. Finish the knife with water sharpening to achieve a perfectly sharp edge.

    Finally, finalise and pack your handmade knife, ready to take home and use in your daily life.
