What you can expect

Escape to the cool and mesmerising village of Imbros as you pass by mountain villages and the impressive White Mountains. At Imbros Gorge, a canyon 7 miles (11 km) long near Hora Sfakion in southern Crete, experience nature at its best and admire a Venetian castle on this relaxing walking tour.

After a convenient hotel pick up, head towards Imbros to start your walking journey. Follow your expert guide and wind your way through the captivating countryside as you pass mountain villages and the impressive White Mountains. At the end of the gorge, reach the picturesque village Komitades, where you have free time for lunch.

Next, drive to Fragokastello, an old Venetian castle, and listen to tales of its interesting history from your guide. According to legend, around the anniversary of an important battle in May, shadows of Cretan and Epirote soldiers—known as Drosoulites or dew-men—are said to march to the castle at dawn. As your tour ends, enjoy free time to swim in the cool Libyan Sea before returning to your hotel.
