What you can expect

  • See Ulsan's top destinations with your own personal guide to show you around. On this private tour, delve into whaling history at Jangsaengpo Whale Museum, admire stunning natural scenery at Daewangam Park and Ganjeolgot, and discover traditional onggi (earthenware) at Oegosan Onggi Village.

Begin your tour with hotel pickup from Busan, and get acquainted with your private guide as you make your way to Ulsan. Your first stop is the Jansaengpo Whale Museum, which stands on a former important whaling site. Wander among exhibits that offer insights into Korea's whaling history, and learn more about the majesty of whales themselves.

Visit the seaside Daewangam Park to visit the beautiful rocky island of Daewangam. According to legend, the seventh-century king Munmu requested to be buried here so that he could protect his kingdom after death. Afterwards, travel to Oegosan Onggi Village for a look at the manufacturing of traditional onggi (Korean earthenware). Explore the site, which produces over 50 percent of the onggi in Korea.

Your last stop of the day is Ganjeolgot Cape, a park on the easternmost part of the Korean Peninsula where many flock to see the first sunrise of the year. Spend time soaking up the serene ocean views before making the trip back to Busan.
