Zica Monastery is one of the more important medieval churches in Serbia. The monastery looks mediocre, but it has a lot of background. It also served as an army station during the Ottoman Empire. During the Serbian Revolution, it was used as a stronghold for an uprising, and it is one of the fortress sites in Serbia today that are relatively intact.
