I took my two 13 year old daughters earlier this week on the zodiac tour. The captain was great, the weather was nice, the water flat and the view fantastic. We saw porpoises, sea lions, seals, birds however no whales. Even though we saw no whales the experience of being on the water on the day like that was fantastic. I did not expect it but they have a guarantee. If no whales we can come back again at no cost.

Even though you will be fitted with a warm survival suit for protection against the elements, (and floatation in an emergency) make sure you still wear layers of clothing to further unsulate yourself. Prince of Whales staff were friendly; the tour left on time and there were whales! I'd go again.

The only bad thing was giving it over the big waves, nutcracker waltz. Guide was excellent and found whales, what more can I say?

Great experience. The suits they furnish were life savers. We were hoping to get closer but the laws don’t allow it. We saw a pod of 6 orcas.

This is an excellent, professionally run tour that allows you to get to 2 or 3 sites when normal tours will only be more limited. The ride on the zodiac across open waters is exhilarating, and the guide we had was excellent.

Was quite disappointed that they so widely advertise the orca whatching and when we went on the trip maybe it was just driver that stayed so far away from whales compared to the other boats that we had a pretty bad view of them and there was no orcas just whales. For those that never seen whales, yeah I would recommend trying it out but for those wanting to see orcas I wouldn't recommend it. And definitely go on the bigger boat so you can see whales better from the top deck.
