「This historical property's facade and surroundings were awe inspiring . The hotel itself while clean and comfortable is managed like many cookie cutter hotel chains and that is not necessarily a bad thing. You can checkin at a kiosk and get your room key automatically and checkout online. Breakfast was buffet style and very generous. 」

「Sligo was such a quiet and charming place. We enjoyed our time there. We stayed in Riverside Hotel for 1 night, the very spacious room, nice staff and delicious food gave us very good impression. The room was just face the river, which had amazing view. After checking out for days, we met some unhappy misunderstanding with the hotel, but finally the hotel management dealt with it effectively.」

「My room was accidentally assigned with 2 twin beds instead of my king/twin setup I booked. The manager of the restaurant, Owyn, gave us free entrees at the restaurant (North) and a free dessert since we were on an anniversary trip. He turned a bad situation into a great memory!」

「This property has a lot to offer as a bed and breakfast option. Strandhill is a charming seaside resort with a definite surfer vibe. The services not offered by the hotel are easily accessed nearby. The reception staff were very helpful. The issues that prevented me from giving a five star review were the badly worn carpet in the bedroom and the 3 minute 'make-up' service.」
