The hotel was whimsical and charming, the room was grand and espectacular, the bathroom could be more comfortable. Breakfast buffet is available, however not our favorite. You can select better options of breakfast and brunch outside the hotel. Excellent location in front of grand canals near Opera and Ballet. Walking distance from restaurants, museums and Amsterdam landmarks. Watch out with the bicycles transit.

This hotel is very nice but rooms are a little strange…the breakfast is excellent however right outside and everywhere Everyone smokes and butts are littered all over the downtown core the canals are full if garbage and this ruined every experience we were trying to have

Our request for a room change set off a domino effect of mishaps with the front desk and the hotel’s customer service manager. We ended up needing to pack our bags and make room changes multiple times due to front desk incompetency. Although we eventually got the room that they initially promised and later reneged on, it took much teeth pulling and threatening (to write bad on-line reviews) to get it.

This is an excellent location right on one of the canals. We were able to catch a tour boat almost right outside our hotel. Would strongly recommend this hotel.

beautiful location. nice view of canal by the front entrance, and access to the nightlife/action by the back entrance of the hotel. Note that the hotel room size are really by European standard. so a small hotel room is a really small hotel room however, it is set up perfectly so you aren't missing anything!!

We had a great stay at this hotel. Facilities were clean and the location is great with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. We also enjoyed the complementary breakfast options. We had a three week vacation across Europe and the customer service at this property was the best we experienced out of all the other properties we stayed at. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel, quiet location, restaurant on site and one directly across the canal. Close to public transportation, Tram station just a few yards from back entrance to hotel. Everything was walkable from this location. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

definitely not a 4 star hotel ,we got inches of window on the ground and they call it canal view! very bad bathroom & towels .no refrigerator in the room & lot of noise. we also got some kind of red stain on our clean sheet , if they let me i will add photos !

Lovely hotel, centrally located. Close to local train station 5 mins walk. Nespresso coffee machine in room along with tea and creamer powder. Onsite mini shop service Starbucks coffee out of a machine. Good selection of restaurants close by. Avoid the £44 for breakfast the same breakfast the will offer you for £19 on arrival. But better selection of lovely breakfast places close by

Excellent location and renovated within the past few years, so well designed and new. Great breakfast space. Easy checkin and checkout and helpful friendly checkin staff. Would have scored 5 stars but the room servicing is odd. We were not told at checkin that rooms are only serviced every three days for “environmental reasons”. We are very familiar and agree with not replacing towels every day, but I would expect rooms to be cleaned/ glasses cleaned/coffee replaced at this standard of hotel. Guests can request daily room servicing but despite us requesting this, it did not happen. On the positive, if we called housekeeping to request anything, they did bring it immediately. I still would definitely recommend this hotel for all of the other positive reasons.

We loved our executive corner room, which was large and tastefully decorated. Staff was friendly and attentive. I had 3 issues: 1. The cleaning was never done timely. Day 1 they were in our room at 4:30pm when we needed a break after touristing all day. Day 2 they never showed even though requeste for daily service upon arrival. We had to call and be in room with cleaners again at 5pm. 2. The toilet paper is simply odd and cheap. 3. No fridge in room was very inconvenient especially at the executive level. We had to mess around with ice twice a day to keep our caviar being transported for an event cold. A bit absurd. Put back the fridges.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Eden hotel. Convenient and very walkable area, tons of food options. Our room was very comfortable and very clean and modern with character. Very much a self serve hotel. Great location, clean rooms, but no maid service until after the third night unless requested. Took us four requests just to get extra towels. But, overall a good property. Would stay again.

Location was good. But for the cost, I expected more. The bathroom never really dried after a shower. It was always damped. The staff was ok..nothing special. We spnd the extra for a canal view..but not sure I would again. All in all...if there is no other option..would do this again...but would definitely be a last resort kinda situation

The location is the best thing about this property. The hotel room ( superior twins ) was small. The bedding had some hairs on it when we checked in. The shower drain was draining slowly so the water from the shower overflowed into the rest of the bathroom causing it to flood and making it impossible to use the bathroom to get ready or for the other person to shower or get ready! The design of the shower is that’s it’s all the same floor! A technician came over and fixed it after our first shower so that was great! Also poor design with frosted but essentially see through glass shower “wall” that makes it so you can see the outline of whoever is in the shower! Basically not private at all. The design of the rooms leaves much to be desired. Also, we stayed four nights but their policy is to clean on the third night. By then trash was overflowing, bathroom was pretty dirty. Had to call to make sure they would clean. Would have been better after the second night. After the “cleaning” staff only left one hand towel and one bath towel when there’s two of us needing to shower. Hand towel was ripped! once the room was cleaned, I realized I was missing a bag of snacks I had left there during the day. I’m not terribly upset but just makes me feel I can’t trust the cleaning staff there. If they took a bag of almonds, what else could they have taken that I haven’t even noticed yet? We shall see. Overall not great. Too many issues. Would not stay again.

We were given room 494. The room was very nice but we could hear people on the street until 4 in the morning. They were loud and drunk and it was continuous until 4. The next morning they moved us across the hallway to a very quiet room. So initial service sucked because she put us in a crappy room, but the next day they were great

Hotel is well located. Three minute walk to Rembrandtplein with restaurants. Fifteen from Dam Square with the Royal Palace, Madame Tussaud Museum and shopping. Central train station is a 23 minute walk or 7 minutes on tram. Canal in front of hotel and access by the back to Floating Flower Market.

The Eden Hotel excelled our expectations. I had emailed ahead and they were extremely helpful. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms lovely and clean. Breakfast was super with lots of varieties for all tastes. Would definitely stay again.
