Regardless of what has you looking to stay in the beautiful Village of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin we invite you to call "Balsam Lake Retreat" home! It is our goal to provide you with comfortable, relaxing, tastefully appointed, perfectly located accommodations that you will enjoy for the duration of your stay. Whether it be for just 2 nights while passing through town or you are looking to establish a place to take an annual family vacation we offer as short as a 2 night minimum and no maximum night stay so feel free to customize your reservation around what works for you. This home is located a short walk (center of town is 1/2 of a mile) away from everything the Village of Balsam Lake has to offer including Indianhead Supper Club (only 2/10ths mile away but be sure to make a reservation!), The Thirsty Otter, Balsam Lake Beach & Boat Launch, Balsam Lake Brewery and Market, Top Spot Tavern & Grill, The Barred Owl, Doc's Pub & Eatery, Balsam Lake Cafe, & Hopsack Gift Store & Coffee Shop. Head East 1 mile and you will find Sunnyside Marina (pontoon rentals) and Balsam Lake Lodge/Restaurant/Bar. Also you will be a quick 15 minute drive away from all that the communities of Milltown & St Croix Falls have to offer and a 20 minute drive from Turtle Lake Casino, Amery, & Luck. The nearest golf courses are Five Flags & Luck, in addition to Riegel Mammoth Disc Golf Course. If hiking is your thing the Ice Age Trail, Interstate State Park, and the Gandy Dancer are just a short 20 minute drive to the west. Dancing Dragonfly and Deer Lake Wineries are within 15 minutes drive as well. Throughout your stay you will enjoy a variety of host provided K cups, a Keurig Coffee maker, an outdoor firepit with Smores making kit, a variety of board games, and a gas fireplace located in the living room. Head outside where the back yard is fully fenced with a combination gas assist / charcoal grill (not available December-March) and a patio table. Out front you will find a small table on a large stamped concrete patio adjacent to the front door of the home perfect for enjoying nature while sipping a cup of coffee. There is strong cell phone service at the home and you are welcome to use the provided high speed wireless internet. There is a 55" Samsung Smart Tv in the living room that may be used to connect to any streaming service you have an existing subscription to. Please note that other than "Samsung Tv" there is no programming subscription service provided. The main bedroom features an adjustable "split king" bed which can also be separated into 2 Twin XLs and has its own ensuite bathroom & a walk in closet. The 2nd bedroom features a queen bed and is located at the front of the home. The 2nd full bathroom is located just outside the door from the 2nd bedroom. Lastly, the pull-out sofa in the living room converts to a full sized bed for additional sleeping accommodations. Home is permitted for short term rental by the Village of Balsam Lake and Polk County, information available upon request. NOTE: If you plan to have your furry family member (Dog) travel to Balsam Lake and accompany you for your stay at our property please click on the "travelers" section on the reservation page and check the box for traveling with pets. It makes for a much smoother transaction than us having to go in and add charges once we see you arrive with your pet on the doorbell camera. The last outdoor fire pit / lake photo in the photo gallery is not "on property" but rather from the patio at Balsam Lake Lodge located 1 mile west of the home. Home Rental does NOT include any access to, or use of the garage for parking, storage, event space or for any other reason not listed.
