「Perfect peaceful stay, good location for access to villages and town. Very good value for money compared to most local stay overs.」

「Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! 」

「I didn't receive any instructions for self check in until I called the letting agent. The property is dark and dingy. It smelled damp and was cluttered with unnecessary furniture (large sofa foot stool, 4 armchairs, 4chairs, fridge freezer & non working fridge, for a double room). The decor is very worn with signs of damage. The carpets are stained. The external area was very overgrown with weeds. The TV remote didn't work and there was no TV ariel connected. The undercounter lights flashed on...

「Oldie worldie country cottage. Comfotable beds and plenty of towels and other toiletries etc. Everything you needed was there. Wifi and TV good reception. Lovely exterior view over field with horses, deer and plenty of birdlife. If you have more than one car parking may be an issue.」

「Stayed at Little Trees because we were visiting elderly parents who live nearby. Nice peaceful location. The place was spotless. Everything was provided - towels, shampoo, shower gel, bread, butter, milk etc. couldn’t have asked for more. Would definitely stay again. Bed a little low and soft for me but actually slept really well. 」

「We are in our early 60’s and stayed for 4 nights at the end of May 2024. Great central location, out of the door and into the massive park, brilliant for dogs. This is a very old building, quaint inside, nicely updated to fit in well with the property’s age. Bedroom is big and comfy, loved the green leather seat looking out of the window. The bath / shower are a bit of an adventure, looks great but we could not live with it if we were living there all the time. Word of warning, 100% not suitable...

「Enjoyable stay in this quiet area of the moors. Clean, well equipped and maintained. Only slight quibble was not enough hot water for a bath as the water heating was controlled by a range cooker which we aren't used to. But overall a lovely place to stay and would recommend.」

「The only thing I would suggest is more kitchen cleaning equipment such as a brilo pad, glass stove cleaner etc. Otherwise an enjoyable time.」

「Just got round to reviewing this property, we had a lovely time. My wife and I and our two teenage daughters thought the cottage was superb. The whole site was really well laid out and there was quite a bit of weekend camping, which didn’t cause any inconvenience at all. There was a lovely walk down into the village and a little more challenging one to the nearby peak, which gave some spectacular views. All round good place, if we’re in that area in the future, will certainly be staying here...
