「We loved everything about our stay at this property. It was easy to book, the owners were great to deal with, they responded to every question quickly, the property was beautiful, the pool was important to us and did not disappoint, the birds in the morning and the frogs at night were fantastic to listen to, and the house fit all of us (7) comfortably. 「We enjoyed this unique property, especially the deck in the morning and evening. The stray cats were sweet and my daughter really liked having them around. Only issue was with the showers. The outdoor closed in shower was very hot and unable to change the temp; the indoor shower was chilly and the other outdoor shower ‘one with nature’ was just right. Other than that, the property was as described.」

「We chose this property due to it's proximity to Volcanos NP. It was also a great "jumping off" point for lots of places on the island. Close to Hilo for restaurants and groceries. The property itself wad exactly as described. I was concerned that there would be no AC, but there are ceiling fans in every room and with the windows open, it was the perfect temp. Would definitely recommend.」

「We loved our stay in the downstairs apartment with our own outside terrace overlooking the garden. It was spacious with a comfortable sofa bed in the living room for extra people. It was great to have our own kitchen and to have a big jar of coffee provided to kickstart each day. It’s not far from the Volcano Park with easy access to Hilo. Thoroughly recommend staying here.」

「I took a 10-day solo trip to the big island for my 30th birthday. I wanted something that honored the natural beauty of Hawai’i. Mary’s Garden House hideaway was exactly that. The views from her lovely home were incredible and the location allowed me to see more of the east side of the island during this trip. I already can’t wait to return to see Hawai’i, Mary, and her sweet dog, Copper. A hui hou.」

「Had a really good time. View of ocean and snorkling areas were so convenient. Not far from town. Be prepared for humidity. Noise restrictions a little daunting. Although motorcycles going back and forth after 9 was annoying. Overall we had a great stay.」

「A stunning and beautiful situation and location. The hosts Garrett and Kaia were so pleasant to deal with and very helpful. They made suggestions as to sights to see and good places to eat, going so far as to even picking up a meal for us. There was plenty of room at this location for all of our family and each member had their own room. Out grand children greatly enjoyed the animal life both domestic and wild. 「Clean, well appointed, bright 1 Bedroom that easily accommodated three adults. We particularly liked the lanai. Days, had a nice view of park and bay. At night, you hear the waves crashing against the rocks. You really are staying on the beach. Special mention of Terry, the owner. He’s super responsive. This was a great experience. Thank you.」
