「This property is beautiful. We had opportunity to rest and relax as well as room to prepare our contributions to the larger family Thanksgiving. Saturday saw us entertaining cousins for homemade soup and games. Mike (property owner). Graciously accepted our invitation and fit right in with the group…..definitely looking forward to going back!」

「This was a very low key and relaxing place to stay. There weren't a lot of rules for clean-up that made it feel like you were doing something wrong. Very simple - keep your bed unmade and put your towels on the floor and close the windows. The owner was responsive and kind. Nice cottage feel to the place. We would stay time and time again.」

「We were there for our granddaughter’s wedding at Adaland Mansion. This was a convenient location for traveling to and from the event. The house was beautifully decorated and very roomy for a large family. Everything was clean and comfortable. The rain kept us from enjoying the outdoors but there was lots of room for outdoor sitting and grilling. Sherry is an exceptionally good host. I would recommend the riverfront home to anyone traveling to that area.」

「We were in town for work. This home was a great place to come back to each night & relax. Quiet, clean & comfortable. We loved the open spaces & all of the windows! Not a huge problem... but the internet is satellite... and unfortunately, it rarely worked. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend!!!」

「Lovely older home. We loved that it was right next to the river. Unfortunately it was rainy & cool the whole weekend, so the guys couldn't fish & we couldn't take full advantage of the screened porch. Maybe next time! It wasn't too far out from Elkins, so that was nice, too. Beds were comfortable. We took the Tygart train ride & actually saw the house from the train. That was cool. Beautiful area!」

「Property was very clean. A couple of comments, not problems. 1) It would help to have the wifi logon and password posted or given to the renter. 2) A channel listing for the TV would help. Also, shielded cables for the cable, tv, and router would help. There was interference with the tv signal when we talked on our cell phones, the bathroom heater kicked on,and when we made coffee.」

「Convenient. Adequate. Very dangerous tub/shower. No grab bars. A lawsuit waiting to happen. Round toilet seats are inconvenient for clean up after going. Nice deck and view. We’ll supplied kitchen. Paying balance was a nightmare. Nobody to take our cash.」

「We had a wonderful time and really appreciate how clean and organized the home was. We were looking forward to the train, which never passed through. 「Really nice property and cabin; however, we were only there an hour and a half before a transformer blew and the power was cut off due to a windstorm. So we were unable to spend the night. The owner was amazing and understanding and submitted a full refund. I would love to book again another time and have the opportunity to enjoy it.」
