「The room was in a terrible condition with marks all over the walls, broken picture frames, stained sofa cushions, a window that was locked open, mould in the kitchen and bathroom, and a collapsed bed! There were no staff on hand to deal with our issues and Hotels.com could not reach them via their contact details either. We left the night we arrived and the hotel refused to issue a refund and kept our security deposit. Stay well away from this hotel!」

On the way to the property as I hadn't heard the details of how to access the property, I contacted the host and was told that he didn't realise there was a booking and that it wasn't available (apparently it was being refurbished). I was left to find alternative accommodation at the last minute which was more expensive and very inconvenient. The host refunded me his part of the cost, but I haven't been refunded Vrbo's...
