The first room we were offered stank of stale smoke! After complaining we were offered another room next door, which was fine. Rooms were large and a very comfy bed.
The desk staff were fine, but one of the Door men was about as miserable as you can get! Sandra, the concierge was wonderful, helpful and friendly.
the roof top area is OK, but think they should replenish the coffee pots more regularly, tasted stale. The sauna and jacuzzi areas were nice and well stocked.
Our first night we turned right out of the hotel and in 5 minutes were in the middle of homeless land, full of druggies and gangs of very intimidating people. I wish we had been warned of this by the hotel, it was pretty scary! But turn left or go straight over towards Union Square and its a different world!
