Laze by the lovely 40 metre infinity-edge swimming pool or frolic in the warm Andaman Sea by day, then sip champagne as you watch some of the most spectacular sunsets in Asia before walking down the beach to one of the two great beach restaurants (open in high season) where you can enjoy good Thai or western food at bargain prices. Located in the lovely Ao Yon area, adjacent to the ultra exclusive Cape Panwa headland, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches and tranquility yet just minutes away from the vibrant bars and fantastic local and international restaurants. Some of Asia's finest golf courses are only 30 minutes away whilst the islands of Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lon and Koh Racha are just a short boat ride away. Ideal for families or couples seeking that perfect getaway.

Great family vacation at Waterside
My wife and I, 2 daughters and their boyfriends recently rented this unit for three weeks. There are excellent views from every room, and ample room for six, both in the unit and at the pool. Check in and out was easy and efficient. Correspondence with the owner and property manager was prompt, many excellent recommendations for restaurants, shopping, tours etc. the unit was well appointed, save the one negative comment below. The area is quiet and peaceful, a contrast to the hustle and bustle of Patong. As mentioned previously there are lots of stairs, so if mobility is an issue this might not be the place for you. Having said that, we managed fine, and my wife has had some significant significant surgery on one leg. There are a number of good restaurants, 7-11, and massages in walking distance, and several others a few kilometers away. Fresh fruit is available nearby on the beach. The pool and property were clean and well kept. The beach is not the best for swimming, but the views and sunsets are amazing, and there are other beaches nearby. Now, the reason I could not give the property 5* is as follows.... first the beds were very hard, but that is typically in this part of the world. Second, the couch in the living rm needs to be cleaned. It is a light beige in color, and had multiple stains...my wife is a bit of a neat freak, and she wouldn’t sit on it without putting a towel down first. And lastly, there was an issue with the cost and communication regarding cleaning and airport transfers which were different from what we were originally told. Some background. I sent a couple emails asking details about the unit, distance from the airport, cleaning frequency, etc. then I requested the dates for the three weeks in question Dec. 28- Jan 18, and it was accepted by the owner. Subsequently he said the rates were wrong on the site, and said the price should be almost double the price that was approved. The owner offered a compromise which was still significantly more. I said I was at my budget and could/would not pay more. The owner said he would honor the agreement. During those original email I was told the owner could arrange complimentary Airport transfers, and cleaning was every 3 days. I was later told transfers were not complimentary (quoted a price nearly double the going rate), and That cleaning was every 5 days. Not a big deal, but not what I was told before I booked. Perhaps because of a perceived loss of income? No explanation given.

Great location, spectacular views
The apt is located in a quiet part of town, but close to some shops and restaurants (check out The Cove). The best part of the apt is its right off the beach and has an amazing view - the ocean with mountains in the background are perfect for watching the sun set at night. You can even see the Big Buddha statue in the distance. We were a group of 4 and fit comfortably. We had some issues with 3 of the ACs (mostly leaking/not working right and being noisy) but the property manager did respond quickly to our requests and fixed the issues. Overall, we enjoyed our stayed and can't wait to return!
