「We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party. We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself. 「The hotel is a renovated historic building nicely located next to the cathedral and the castle. Indeed the breakfast chamber offers a good view of the cathedral towers. The rooms are neat and clean. 「An absolutely amazing nights stay, the bed was incredibly comfy and we slept like a log. The staff were very attentive, one slight criticism was they need more staff as when we went to the bar we were waiting for quite a while to be attended to. Their sister bar restaurant down the road we left after 20 minutes, the waiter took my drink order while my wife was choosing, 20 minutes later and nothing. So sadly they lost out on our food and drinks order.」
