As you laze on the deck of Secluded Hideaway, you’ll be mesmerized by the natural splendor surrounding you: The majestic Smoky Mountains appearing through the morning mists and surrounding trees, a twinkling canopy of stars above you at night. Wrens and warblers putting on a concert throughout the day, whip-poor-wills and crickets singing you an evening lullaby as the pine-scented kiss of the mountain breezes hits your face. As you relish in the sights and sounds, you might easily forget that the 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom log cabin is approximately 15 minutes from the excitement of downtown Pigeon Forge.

The deck is furnished with chairs and tables so that you can savor your meals alfresco. You can cook outside too, on Secluded Hideaway’s grill. If you reel in trout from a nearby stream, cook it out here for a true Smoky Mountain feast. Perhaps the best way to delight in the stunning views, however, is while soaking in the deck’s hot tub. No matter how tired your muscles are after a day of hiking, biking, skiing, or rafting, the massaging jets of steamy water will work their magic and have you ready to tackle the next day’s adventures.

The great room makes up much of the main floor. The spacious sectional sofa can seat a small crowd—and it opens into a bed for 2, enabling Secluded Hideaway to sleep up to a total of 6 people. The gas fireplace will add to the cozy vibe in winter, while the ceiling fan is perfect for spring and summer days when it’s not quite warm enough to put on the central air-conditioning. Watch a movie on the flat-screen TV, play a game with the kids, catch up on your reading… in other words, make yourself at home.

On days when the weather’s not ideal for eating out on the deck, you can sit down at the great room’s dining table, which seats 4. The kitchen’s equipped with a full array of appliances, cookware, and tableware, so you can cook up a storm… or heat up leftovers from the previous night’s restaurant meal.

The en-suite bedroom is here on the main floor as well. The queen-size bed all but guarantees sweet dreams. In addition to the master suite, you’ll find a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom upstairs—especially convenient if you’re vacationing with the kids. Also, convenient- the cabin’s washer and dryer.

You can drive to the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an 8-mile trail of galleries, shops, and studios. Just as close is downtown Gatlinburg, home to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Guinness World Records Adventure, Sweet Fanny Adams Theater, distilleries, mountain coasters and other thrill rides, mini golf, arcades, and much more. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which you can explore on foot, bike, or horseback or by car, is only 10 minutes away, and in less than a half-hour you can drive to Pigeon Forge, whose myriad attractions include Dollywood, the Titanic Museum, dinner theaters, go-kart tracks, and too many other to list here. Just bear in mind that if you visit in winter, vehicles with 4-wheel drive or tire chains are strongly recommended.
