「I enjoyed the historical hotel and the proximity to the festival we visited.」

「Door Improperly hung, hard to open, sounded like it was lifting the metal threshold Strike plate completely missing Gouges that looked like a crow bar was used to open it Bathroom Reserved believing it was handicap accessible There was a tub, not a walk in shower. No handheld No seat I called the front desk and they offered a different room but we were exhausted and unpacked. They sent down a shower chair. Low water pressure Hot water at sink and tub, but warm from shower head Ice machine...

「A beautiful historical hotel that made us feel like we were in the 1800’s. We loved the decor, the friendly staff, the restaurant and bar, the lovely town and the way we were spoiled. We highly recommend this hotel and the whole experience. It’s hard to find hospitality like this anymore!」

「While the room was clean, but the door didn’t seal tight. You could see the light from the hallway all around the door. the floors near and in the elevator were really dirty. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was adequate. They had scrambled eggs, sausage,Waffles, and bread items etc… For one night, it was ok. In my opinion, The Newport area seemed a little sketchy.」

「The staff was great, I'll start with that. And this place has so much potential. The TV works. The AC works well. The actual hotel could really be very nice - some of the architecture is really cool. But it is not a place I'd book a 2nd time. I can't speculate as to why certain things are the way they are, if it's finances, the clientele, or the care/concern of the actual owners, but there are just a lot of things about this place that are lacking. 「Breakfast: 5 stars. They have a good breakfast bar. Breakfast is from 6:30 am - 10 am but after 9:15 they stop refilling the breakfast bar. Not much to choose from if you come late. Cleanliness: 2 stars. We stayed in a non-smoking room but the lingering odor of lit cigarette was present and too strong for us to handle.」

「The staff was great and check-in was a breeze. The room was large and serviceable, but there were stains in the carpet, the bed covering, and one of the large towels. The room was mostly clean, though, and had no ill smell…just well-used and a bit out-dated. The treadmill in the fitness center was in disrepair and there were multiple boxes of AC units being stored in there. The hospitality made this a 4/5, otherwise it was a 3/5.」

「First at check in You have to use telephone to even check in, the lady was rude. Guess what, no ice or washing facilities. The room was really thread bare, and just rough. I booked for 2 days, however decided to leave in the afternoon before the second night. I saw a roach, I was done. locked lobby, no way in. So I left, couldn't properly check out. This place is a dump. Pay $40 more, stay at the quality inn.」
