「A beautiful new boutique hotel featuring sustainable rock-stone architecture designed by award-winning architect Palinda Kannangara. The property has a modern, minimalist, and zen-like aesthetic, with grey-toned interiors that evoke the signature style of Tadao Ando.
Our room was located at the highest point of the property, offering stunning panoramic views of the Ella Gap. The trade-off, however, is the considerable number of steps required to reach the room from the lobby, which may be...

「The view is supreme. The room is very clean and quite well-appointed for the class of hotel. The location is very near to town just up the way to its hilltop perch. A good walk or short tuk tuk ride .
The staff were friendly and helpful and the WiFi was good. I had reason to contact the manager and he responded quickly to sort out my issue.
I highly recommend Mountjoy Ella.」

「The room was excellent. Had everything I needed. Only thing I would add is an additional plug socket to the room. Melani was phenomenal from the start and throughout, she went above and beyond making sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast was made fresh every morning and Melani checked what I wanted and even accommodated things like getting low fat options, which she didn’t need to do. The star of this hotel besides the staff is the view from the balcony! Looking out onto Ella was lovely,...

「This is the place to stay if you come to Ella. It could not have been more perfect. You wake up to stunning views of the mountains and the most delicious homemade traditional breakfast. You can walk straight from the home to town or to hikes and popular sights.
It keeps you out of the hustle and bustle of the street so you can really enjoy your stay.
11/10, loved my stay here. If I come back to Ella, I would love to stay again!」
