Very sparsely appointed . One rolling chair, no glasses for drinking , ceiling in bathroom in prices of being re plastered. There were many drill Holes in the only piece if “furniture” where TV sat . Nothing but the floor to put out suitcase . Two small bars of soap no shampoo etc . No breakfast which we knew but coffee in office ir room would be nice . Only reason we booked there with Expedia was with the storm others I tried to book were already booked . I understand motel 6 is a low value chain but Thry could try harder . Only good thing was bedding was clean and newer . My husband has a CPAP machine , he had to have it on the floor. We will NEVER book with motel 6 again

I have stayed at a large number of hotels over the years but our stay at the Hotel 6 in Abilene Texas was my/our worst experience EVER! Upon checking in the desk clerk told me 4 times that the room was none smoking- ok not a problem we did not smoke! Upon opening the door it smelled like some one had just put out a cigarette! I promptly walked back to the lobby to document that no one in MY PARTY was smoking in the room - just to avoid an unwanted charge. Once in the room I inspected the beds and mattresses to make sure there were not any seen bugs- ok passed that test- we were tired needed rest- set the alarm for the next morning- no need our neighbors above woke us at 5:30 walking and slamming boots and who knows what else on the floor- shower time- and lights on- to say this place was the most disgustingly dirty- despicable place I had ever PAID DOLLARS for is a gross understatement . Shower did not drain- gross toilet , walls - any surface- just gross- if you’re brave and have a hazmat suit- good for you- FAMILIES I AM SORRY DO NOT SPEND THE DOLLARS ! It is disgusting and gross! No coffee, no hair dryer and I honestly believe they use soap scraps for the soap - AVOID!!! AVOID!!! AVOID!!!

Yes, the AC worked and the place is pet-friendly, but that’s where the positives end. The room was in such poor condition that I didn’t even feel safe getting into the sheets or using the shower. There was dog poop stuck to the floor, the furniture was damaged, unstable, and looked like it had been chewed apart, and even the door was a struggle to open. On top of that, there are no food options anywhere nearby, which made the stay even more inconvenient. This was not a comfortable or acceptable experience.

The room was dirty, the thermostat was broken and the person who checked me in tried to say my card declined, but when I asked if they wanted to see my Expedia receipt they that is okay they believed I had paid.
