Really nice cottage
Very comfortable cottage, nice area. Nice walks possible nearby, as well as in the national park Cairngorm. We visited the Highland games in Aboyne, which was great fun.

Immaculate cottage, amazing bathroom, master bedroom and Living room particularly. The photos do not show it to its best at all, it looks okay, but It is really something special In reality. The master bedroom isn’t even pictured, Loved the walk in wardrobe! Owners are very friendly and were there to greet us, but weren’t over the top and didn't make A nuisance of themselves. I don’t know why one review said parking was a problem, it isn’t at all - plenty of space to park and get in and out of the space on the lane. The reason it didn’t get 5 stars is that there were no directions to get to the property, and if you don’t know where it is it is hard to find - you think you’re turning into a private driveway to get into the lane. Also didn’t get any arrival information from the owners prior to arriving and they didn’t respond to our message via homeaway which made us worry that there was a problem. I eventually texted (We were staying elsewhere in Scotland prior to this cottage with no cell reception so it was very difficult to be able to phone them) and got an immediate and friendly response. The owners live next door and are there when you arrive to give you the key so no arrival info was needed, but the fact that they hadn’t said that on the listing was the problem. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful
We truly enjoyed our stay at 1 Rajabarrie Cottage. It was exactly as advertised, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Stephen and Yvonne are great to deal with and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We love hiking and cycling so this was a great location for accessing the trails at Glen Tanar, Loch Kinord, Burn O’Vat, Tarland...etc. I noticed in another review someone mentioned parking. We drove a 7 passenger van this trip and had no issues with parking/reversing. Thanks again, 1 Rajabarrie Cottage was one of the many highlights of our trip

A delightful cottage
Stephen and Yvonne have done a brilliant job with the interior of the cottage.....making it both cosy and tastefully stylish. It was impeccably clean, comfortable and warm,....and probably the most comprehensively equipped cottage we’ve come across . It’s well situated for visits to all the Deeside walks and attractions, and our only regret was not being able to stay longer. PS Anyone with a largeish car and poor reversing skills, like us, may find that access to, and exit from the parking space is ....interesting....adding to the fun of the holiday !
